New pick ups from Iowa show (DUW)

went to the iowa show today in Des Moines and had a blast. saw a bunch of cool animals and got to hold a blue tongued skink which was kinda neat. saw some members from here at the show which was a first lol. i went looking for a mojave female and made probably 10 laps around the place looking at everything but i only saw 1 throughout the whole thing i was there for, and she was just outta my price range with everything else i was getting. but here are pics of everything we picked up.

this is my pastel female, Rosalba. she's a 2010 girl and weighs in at 425g. she's a little skittish for a minute but then gets to moving all over the place and didnt wanna really stay still for pics.

i got this female Hypo boa, Castrina, weighing in at 91g, from SW reptiles. i've been wanting to get a boa for a little bit now but didnt plan on getting one so soon but she was pretty cheap and i just fell in love with her so i had to have her. as you can imaging she was pretty wiggly too but i got a few snaps.

my roommate got this male pastel 100% het vpi axanthic, Paxley, weighing in at 819g, also from SW Reptiles.

i also picked up the start of a rat colony of 1.3. i got a seperate cage for each female so that i can space out the births a little and not end up with a bunch of rats all one size.

In the past I've also bought some snake from Jim at SWR, he's a great guy and produces some amazing animals. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the new pickups.

he had a lot of awesome animals there that looked really good. the one that i really wanted was a HUGE hog island female that just looked so aggressive with its really dark coloring and specks all over it. she was pretty cheap too but i just dont have the room for that ATM or i would have definitely brought her home.

she's a sweet heart lol. i was checking temps this morning and when i put my hand in her tub she hissed at me. it was a little different then a bp hiss though because i actually got to see her open her mouth when she did it, all my bps hide their heads when they hiss lol.

glad i stopped and talked to you two, its nice to put a face to the name once in awhile. we woulda stayed a little longer but we had a 3 hr drive home and i still had to get some sleep before work lol.

you missed a pretty good show lol. i dont think the next one up there is until the spring time so you'll have to wait or take a drive.
