The article is great, but the comments make me want to smack someone upside the head to knock a little sense into them.

I know people are ignorant, it just frustrates me.

Good Job! Makes me want to get a news crew over to my house and show them how "dangerous" they are. Then I will let my German Shepherd mix out of her crate and have them realize that they are in more danger with her than with the snakes because shes so EXCITED!!!:carrot::dance::pinkele:

She comes out of there like a rocket!

Glad somebody in the media has some sense.

“If you’ve ever held a hamster, you’re in a lot more danger,” he says. “Hamsters bite people all the time.”
    lol

Did you look at the enclosures the guy is selling? And his prices? :O

It's a great article, but I disagree that snakes need to be kept in custom made enclosures. I keep almost 30 snakes and I've only had one escape and it wasn't from an aquarium. I keep a couple of snakes in aquariums and it is harder because you have to work to keep humidity where it should be, but with proper precautions (lid locks) it can be done and done well. I prefer my racks over aquariums, but I can't see myself buying an expensive enclosure for those that aren't in racks.

It was a good ending to the article... and a bit humerus since BP's can eat hamsters :)

I've come to realize that my post can be taken very negatively and I would like to apologize to Ricky.

I do think it is a great article that stresses the need for education and proper housing.
