T pics :D
I love my Ts so much, I took them out last night for some photos and minor handling. I am super cautious now when handling, I actually sit on the floor lol.
First up is my Greenbottle blue. This T is just amazing. Not very skittish, but it's pretty cautious. I think it'd let me handle it all day, but getting it out of the enclosure is a trick lol.
Here it is, creeping out slowly to be sure I won't eat it haha

Here is it's new enclosure, it's an acrylic box that I got at Michael's craft store. It came in 3 different sizes, then I just soldered some ventilation holes on the sides and top :D my GBB started webbing 15 minutes after being moved to it, so I think it appreciates the extra space lol.

Next is my Mexican Red Knee. This one is still really flighty but tolerates being handled really well. Hasn't kicked hairs or anything :)
Here he is on my arm lol

Beautiful T's and pics!!! My GBB female will not hesitate to kick hairs or bite if messed with - lol. She is also very skiddish!! Oh she is just so darn pretty though :D
-
Nice! I need to get some spiders again..
-
Thanks guys, I can't wait to expand a little more, my boyfriend is becoming much more forgiving with the spiders than I originally thought :D

-
Awe, that GBB is too freakin' cute! :D

Great pic's and T's.....:gj:

Great looking T's would love one myself but I have more chance of flying to the moon with my wife's view on spiders haha
-
Leah, they're great! I really like the pattern on the GBB!
-
Awe :) I want a red knee cause my gma had one!
-
Great pics! I have to say, you're a lot braver than me, handling them when they're that tiny! xD I've always been too afraid to handle anything much smaller than a loonie ($1 coin here in Canada) for fear of losing track of it
They're adorable though, thanks for sharing!

They look great! Awesome pics!

That Greenbottle blue is probably my favorite T i've seen so far.

I am very nervous when handling them, especially after I dropped and killed my versi. I really only take them out to clean out any dead body parts, to take pictures, or to knock down webbing (which I hate doing). Other than that, I haven't really taken them out for fun, and especially after my versi incident, I sit on the floor when they are out, and have very few places to go. For the most part they remain "crawling" on me, and neither have gone past my upper arm while exploring. I'm really careful with any movements since they react, usually startled, by any fast movements or vibrations. I'm also king of hoping that since they are being handled occasionally this young that they may tolerate it better when they are older, especially the GBB, since I've heard they have bad attitudes lol.

Same with me! Wait till you see it's adult colors, I can't wait to watch it grow up.
Thanks for the compliments everyone. I kind of got thrown unexpectedly into Ts and now I love it haha.

Right now he's just done some webbing close to the ground in the corners, nothing extravagant. I'll try and get some pictures though this week and post them, from what I've heard they are crazy webbers :)

Re: T pics :D
iv been concidering getting one of thees t's..... but i havent decided on the one i like best.
are the haires real irritating?
thanks
spooky

I've yet to have had hairs kicked yet, but I'd imagine they are irritating, and you should put them back as soon as you see they are kicking hairs, and go take a hot shower. Personally, my favorite T was my A.Versi, but I think I'll wait until mine are all adults and I can tell their personality before I make a solid decision. I know that Red Knees are considered very docile species, the greenbottle blue is a cautious and flighty species, and the versis are pretty laid back but can be skittish.

Re: T pics :D
iv read alot of descriptions of different kinds, and some say that they are "fast movers",, and some are "slow movers"..... just how fast is fast? and how slow is slow?
are the "fast ones" gonna hit the ground and be gone fast???
thanks
spooky
-
That's how my versi died actually. I think they are all "fast" when they are slings. He was generally pretty slow moving and just chill, but something startled him and he fell off my arm and hit the ground and died. I now handle mine sitting on the floor to avoid any more accidents. My red knee is the fastest one I have right now, and he'll run a couple laps around my wrist and then stop and hang out, if something startles him he'll take off again but then stop and relax. They don't move fast enough for me to be scared handling them, so it's not too bad. You just have to be extra careful.
