That sucks, I hope they get your power on soon. If not, just get in a sleeping bag with them, lol.

That's a good idea, have two of you get in a sleeping bag with the snakes and the body heat from both will keep them warm.

I lost power for about 2 hours yesterday. I was about to fill soda bottles with hot water and put them in my tubs. Im on city water so I still get water when power is out. Just cant replenish hot water. Once the water heater is out its no more hot water.

I told my wife if I could put them in a pillowcase and put them in the bed with use and she said no way. They r saying no power for 7 days or more.

Were you able to find any hand warmers? If so, how many?

Not a long term solution but your body heat can/will help too, put a snake or two in a pillow case and put the pillow case under your shirt, encourage other family members to do the same.

If you have gas boiling water and having hot water bottles is another temporary option, ideally you want to pack your snake like you would if you were shipping them.

And for the future invest in a generator or at least a buddy heater http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...5499_200395499 and 2 or 3 20lbs propane tank

You may have to sleep alone for a few days if you want to keep them alive. To me it would be well worth it.

I hope you and your wife (and any other family or pets) are keeping warm too! It's too early for this snow!

I have broken things off with a few girls because they weren't okay with the snakes being in the bed. "i'm not okay with that." Me,"well, i'm.sorry, but i'm not okay with you. You don't have to like them, but you have to accept they are my pets and I love them." The pillowcase and sleeping bag or bed option is a good one.

You may just have to keep your car running intermittently with the heat on blast and house them in there for a while if you run out of options. At least it would be warm right?

Do you have a friend that you could take them to? Maybe put a few together per tub or in pillow cases in tubs and take them to a friends house so they can at least be kept at a stable temp?

Sorry about your wife... I think keeping the animals alive is much more important than worrying if they are in bed with you.

Body heat will work for a while but a propane heater is a better longer term solution you might be able to drive and pick up one quickly.

What about going to a sporting goods store, and getting some of those cold weather heat packs? Like the ones you can put in your gloves or under a jacket. I think there are some that last 8-12 hours. Wrap them in some paper towels to avoid burns, and stick them in the hides. Might be a little expensive, but it would work. Hope they turn it back on for you soon!
