what breeding are you most excited for this year?
This question goes out to the breeders on what is breeding they are most excited about this year. And to those who are not breeding, what are you hoping to see done this year?. For me i have 2. The first is my genetic stripe male breeding to my pinstripe het genetic stripe female. The second is im hoping to slay the odds gods with my black pastel pied project, hopin for pandas but i know that one is just a horrible odds gamble.

That sounds awesome, i love the g stripes. I'm just excited to be able to breed for the first time. :D

All mine is gonna be is Pastel X Normal for my first time but i've got a spider girl that i'm waiting on to get big. :)

Lesser Cinnamon x Pewter! 1/16 chance of getting a Super Cinny Lesser Pastel!

Also, Lesser Cinnamon x Mojo...I've been wanting a BEL for SOOOO long...but my mojo is just hovering around the 1200 gram mark...this is her 4th winter! So, I'll prolly go for it later in the season.

It's my first year breeding. I am most excited to hatch an egg, any egg; it doesn't matter to me as long as it's healthy. Now, out of the possible outcomes I have I'm most excited to hatch out some lemon blasts and some piebalds. But if all I get is one 42 gram normal male I will be ecstatic!

I'm hoping to have two who's your daddy clutches and one sired by my little enchi male. I'm just aiming for an enchi female this season, but I'm picking up a very nice proven breeder pastel yellow belly male in about 3 weeks so I won't complain if I get some nice pastels, yellow bellies and pastel yellow bellies from him. :D

Next year will be my exciting year because my female morphs will be big enough to breed then.

I'm only doing 2 pairings this year but equally excited for both of their outcomes.

    fire x fire
    fire x pastel

I won't be breeding until next year (still in a studio and cannot afford the space), but come this time in 2012, I'll have my female kingpin and normal paired with a male mojave and and male firefly, provided the latter two are up to size. it's likely not in cards considering the odds, but I'd love to produce a mojave x lesser BEL. realistically shooting for a lesser fire and a few more mojos and fireflies.

however, if the stars align, the kingpin x firefly pairing could potentially yield a pastel lesser fire pin, in which case I'd go out and buy my first ever lottery ticket.

I have a small year this year, couple litters of boas (one will hopefully produce pewter boas :D )
Ball python wise I will be pairing
    pin x spider (high white)
    pin x normal
    butter x mojave
    butter x Spider (low white)
    spot nose x black pastel
hoping to get some good clutches will have 2 first time mommies and 3 that have laid nice clutches for me before so I am hoping to get some good stuff....

Im trying again this year for a pastel lesser female, but my het pied girl is finally up to size, and the pied is the only reason I decided to try breeding ball pythons, so I must say the het pied x het pied is what I am looking forward to most this year!!

It is also our first year of breeding so we will be very excited no matter what we get!
We have a spider and a pinstripe male that are ready and each will be getting 2 normal females and then they will be splitting time with our pastel female. So obviously the pastel girl will be the most anticipated outcome.

All of my pairings this year I'm super stoked for. Last year I just had 3 clutches of normals, but this year all my morphs are up to size, except my mojo girl. Guess I'll have to wait one more year for my lesser x mojo BEL's

I'm finally set for this year to be my first real attempt. My pairing(s) will be:

Pastel 66% ph ghost X Spider (who has a longshot at being het ghost)

Fire or pastel 66% ph ghost X normal (if the normal is receptive this year, she is early 2010 and already 1600 from a 4000g mom)

THis is also my first year breeding. I have 2 pairs going this year. Spider X Normal and possible Fire X Normal. Hoping for a female Fire. I'm hoping to make sore super-fires in a few years.

My first year as well, looking forward to a few nice pairings. Bumble bee X pastel, pied X albino (hoping for lots of female double hets), pastel lesser (if he gets big enough) X spider, and I really hope these two get to size late in the season, pastel lesser X cinnibee! would be stoked for a quad gene male or female from them

For us it would be our Desert Spider x Super Pastel and also Desert Spider x Lesser. Of course anything that our male Enchi locks with will be awesome.

Very slim chance that our Vanilla Cream YB male gets to size this season, but if he does father a clutch late in the season that will be a very long incubation period.

I am planning to breed three males to my pinstripe female and am excited to see any of the outcomes. The three males will be: 1-Lesser 2-calico 3-enchi.

Lemon blast x Pastel and also my Cinny x Cinny. CInny x Pastel Been dying to make some supers for the longest time. I also paired my het pieds to see if they would prove out for me this year so im excited for that as well. If my pied visuals will get up to size and breed this year ill be really excited. I want to produce my first pieds already haha. My bumblebee moojave female is 1100 grams now so maybe mid season hit her to the lemon blast if hes still going which is more than unlikely. Worse comes to worse ill buy a three gene male and hit it to her next season when shes real big. she is an insane eater

Won't be able to do anything till next winter, but my pastel female eats like a fiend so hopefully I'll be getting a mojo x pastel clutch, and if I can just get a pastave male out of that who happens to love eating as well, pair him with my fire female the year after that xD

I'm also doing a who's your daddy clutch - my lesser and my pastel are each dating my wild caught girl. The odds I'm praying for are a female lesser and a female pastel in one clutch. I can dream, right?! :D

This is my 1st year and just my normal female and pastel male are up to size. I started pairing 9-30 and have already had 2 confirmed locks. Just hoping for a female pastel out of the pairing. :)

This is only my second season, so any and all babies are exciting to me.

My most anticipated pairing is my LW pied male to my finally big enough to breed het pied female.

I am also hoping for some fires, mojaves, a few more vanillas, and hubby has his heart set on a mojave spider. He's borrowing my big mojave female for his spider male.

It's a good thing I love him, because I could potentially make some sweet combos with her this year, even though I know I could pair my males and his spider, hubby is about to die because he wants a mojave spider male for his own projects so much. So I agreed he could breed her, I would wait, and we'll split the clutch.

This is my 4th season and hopefully it will be as good as the last season.
Our pairings at this point look to be.

    Mojave X Bumblebee
    Mojave X normal
    Lesser X normal
    Black pastel X Black pastel
    Black pastel X normal
    Black pastel X normal
Black pastel het albino X Albino
    Clown X Butter
    Clown X Bumblebee
    Clown X yellowbelly
Clown X Lemon Blast(if she makes weight)

Breeder loaning a yellowbelly female and a large normal to breed to a pastel yellowbelly male for split clutches.

My most anticipated pairing is Bumblebee X clown, bring on the bee het clowns!!

Re: what breeding are you most excited for this year?
It's really hard for me to decide on just one this year, it's either enchi hypo to pastel hypo, or pastel enchi to fire...then again pastel enchi to lesser...or firefly to pinstripe...oh hell, I'm just excited for this year in general
