my uth is falling off my tub
i have a uth under my tub, and it keeps falling off, it just cant get any grip. i even sanded the bottom of the tub after the first time it fell off, what do ou think i should do? maybe hot glue or duct tape? i'd rather use hot glue, but you think it will stand to the heat?

Aluminum tape. Pick some up in the hardware area at Walmart or any hardware store. Tape around the edges and that puppy will stay put.
    I love aluminum tape!

It could, hopefully it would thermoregulate. In any case, you need a thermostat so that your hotspot does not get too hot. You've got to have something to control those temps if you do not already.

try taping it down to the surface on which the tub will sit.

I seem to get a nasty Foil cut on my finger. You think papercuts are bad, you havent had one from Foil tape. You dont know it cut you till few mins later

well ihave a rheostat (which sucks) but with that and piling up dirt over the pad, im able to keep it at 95 or lower, it usually fluctuates from like 88-94/5. but someone from rtb.com said 92-95 is a good hot spot for boas, so i guess i'll wait to get a few more opinions on that. shes usually in the coldest corner though where its only in the mid-high 70's. idk, i think im just paranoid with baby snakes, we accidently killed my first baby cornsnake from over feeding when i was 10-11, so i think im just freaking out lol

I'm not understanding. Sorry. So tape the UTH to the surface below the tub? I'm actually using Neodesha cages in a rack so I'm not sure where I could tape the UTH if I was to do that. I also have trouble with a small UTH falling off my hatchling's tub but she's not in a rack it's just a single tub sitting on a glass table.

YES! It cut me and hurt so bad but didn't start bleeding immediately so I was like, "oh no big deal" kept doing what I was doing and noticed blood EVERYWHERE...whoops.

CORRECTION: its NOT a rheostat, its a crappy Zoo-Med Repti-therm, i must have lost my mind for a minute:rolleye2:
