    I'm Maddie
Hi, I'm Maddison Wise. I live in Aubrey, Texas but I am in the process of moving to Cary, North Carolina. I have 3 leopard geckos, Quin the baby male lavender banded that I bought at petco a few weeks ago. Rainne the female juvy snow bold that I got from H.I.S.S. at a herp show a a couple months ago. Scorcho is a nearly adult female super hypo tangerine that I bought from petsmart around three months ago. Tegan and Sara are my female mice that I got from petco a few weeks ago. My parents are getting divorced so the dogs and cats are getting split up. Me, my dad, and my sister get Hoobie, a 7 year old male golden retriever/husky/irish setter mix that's in remission from a rare blood diesease, and Jetta, a young husky that we found when we were dropping a friend off at school today. The cats we get to keep are Spooky, a female 6
year old black cat that we got as a kitten when the dogs found her under a dumpster, Neko, a 3 month old black and white kitten that our dad's friend gave us, and Hitler, Neko's long haired sister. My mom is keeping Shotzie, a 11 year old female spitz/something mix, Blackie, a male 11 year old pug/black lab. Her cats are Jack, a male 12 year old, 30 pound orange tabby, Mitzi, a 12 year old female tortishell, and Garbadge, a male orange tabby kitten that we found down the street. When we get to North Carolina, we are adopting a young rosy boa named Anya from Animall and changing her name to Lasagna. When my dad gets his bonus net year, he's giving me and my sister 1000 each. I'm using mine on a Boaphile cage and a red tail boa, and my sister is getting a blue tounged skink and a guitar. Anyway, enough about my pets. I'm a 14 year old girl and in tenth grade, and I plan to go to NC state for vet school. I'm going to be a herp/exotic animal vet with a hobby of breeding reptiles. I've been a member on this site a few months and finally got around to introducing myself.

Hi Maddie, it sounds like you're starting a zoo :) I think becoming a veterinarian is a terrific goal to work towards. Best of luck to you.

Ha ha, it is a lot of pets, and I'm their main caretaker, I do everything except take them to the vet, but it's very rewarding. I'll post some pics when I can get them off my camera. Kinda hard to post pictures when the computer is in a box, and I can't get them off my phone. Also, I forgot some things. I'm 5'3" and weigh 150, I have brown hair and eyes, I wear glasses most of the time, and I love going outside and searching for assorted animals, especially reptiles. I read alot and I can draw pretty well. I was born in Texas, but I was raised mostly in NC and VA. When I'm get my drivers license I'll drive my dad's VW Jetta to school and to herp shows. I'll probably be joining the Raleigh herp club and I'll be going to
Cary High School. We already have an apartment arranged and have paid the deposit for Hoobie, and were not going to tell them about the lizards, mice, snake, and cats.

    Hi, Maddie and welcome!

I don't mean to be a buzzkill or "parent" anyone, but you're putting a LOT of personal info out for the world at large to see/read...these are public forums and can be searched/surfed by anyone and there are some less-than-upstanding people in the world, so please just be careful. Just my two cents...

Glad you joined and it's nice to "meet" you; look forward to seeing some pics of all your pets, lol! Take care.

Good to meet everyone too. Nice to know there are other people like reptiles. At least I don't have a Facebook account, you should see all the personal info on that. I have some really funny pictures of my pets doing things. We still have to drive to NC with three people and two dogs in the cab of a moving truck. Fun.

Welcome aboard. Great to have your dad's support with your interest in reptiles. That's how my son and I got started.

Yeah, he's really supportive of me. He loves those lizards, and he's okay with snakes. It's pretty cool. (:

Hello Maddie, and :welcome: to BP.net and welcome to NC, when you get here. NC Vet School is a great goal, and it's only about 5 miles from Cary, next to the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.

That's one of the biggest reasons we're moving there. I'll be going to NC state soon after high school. I heard it's one of the best vet schools in the US.
We had to give Jetta to a neighbor because she literally tried to eat the cats, but we took Garbadge with us. In Cullman, Alabama we came across the most random herp show and got a female baby ball python, Lily, and she's riding in the car with the cats and dog. We have the geckos, mice, and sometimes Garbadge with us in the truck. It's cramped, but pretty fun.
