Bobbi the Boobie

So my little "boobie snake" is now 2.5 weeks old, and still hasn't eaten or shed for me... but she's (finally popped HER) otherwise doing well, and is quite the friendly little snake! She's always peeking at me from the tub, so I took her out for a few photos - and now I'll leave her alone until she starts eating. ;) FYI, she weighed only 35g at hatching.

To get an idea of how small she is, here's Bobbi next to her mom... who's not even that big for an adult, maybe 1500g at this time.

P.S. Her siblings are all doing great - they've shed and eaten two meals now. :)

Thanks! :) I wanted to get a picture with her & Mona, my big ~2500g gal... but she's in deep shed right now, so I didn't want to bother her. Still a neat comparison, though.

Very cute! I don't fed mine until they are about a month old give or take a week or two. It depends on how quickly they shed. I had a clutch of 45 gram babies and they are ~140 grams two months later. I did feed them a little more frequently than my other hatchlings to get the bulked up a little quicker.

I totally saved the first and second to last pic. Too cute!

Her clutch-mates are about a week older, since she took her time coming out... so they're almost a month old now, and have eaten 2 meals already. I thought it was standard to feed after the first shed, so that's what I've done! They were happy to take their mice, so I guess it was okay with them. ;) Not sure what's taking Bobbi so long to shed, but I've been told not to worry about it yet.

I think many would still vote for it, I would. If you really don't like it you can always photoshop it out, if you have it. Either way, great shots of the little one. I love the broken dorsal stripe, and the title made me laugh.

Yeah, she really does! Two of the babies look just like her, two look just like dad (mojave), and the other one is still a mystery. :confused:
