Update on the "Orange Thing" (my dinker project)
Today was the first time I brought him into natural light and I love him even more now! I'm so happy he has been keeping his colors and I almost think he's getting brighter!
For those who don't know, he was the result of a dinker project I have been working on. I'm doing the same pairing this year, so we'll see what happens! I'm crossing my fingers that it's genetic!
He's 140 grams, he was only 45 grams when he hatched in July. The entire clutch was small.

I feel like there is something weird about his head, but I can't figure it out. I think it's just because his head is really dark?

That's what I thought. I sent out some emails to some breeders that are working with orange dreams and they agree he looks orange dreamish, but if he's genetic it has to be recessive so it can't be orange dream.

What does it mean? I wish I knew what it meant!
He's not a het anything -at least as far as I know. It's pretty common for hets to be lighter or a different color than normals, so I wouldn't be surprised if your boy was a het lavender albino. I have a het albino that has an orange hue.

Thank you! I'm praying hard to the ball gods, lol! It won't be co-dom unfortunately since the parents aren't orange. He has to be recessive if it is genetic.
