    Genetic or Not?
This is Goldburg and his daughter from this year. I am not sure if he is a genetic banded/reduced or what. I had 3 males and 1 female who looked like him. Let me know what you think.

Neat! I love reduced pattern BPs.

I may be wrong on this, but I seem to recall reading that genetic banded/genetic reduced is a simple dominant trait. So, you may not get a super, but it may still be simple Mendelian "genetic." (I believe it would be likely to be "genetic" either way, as we know it's possible to select for increasingly reduced-pattern animals, but I think what you're looking for is whether or not it's a single-gene mutation.)

I think that his daughter looking so much like him is very promising.

    Update on reduced/banding project!
I have breed this male to a pastel female in hopes that the pattern will come through. I thought why not try to reduce one of the busiest patterns first. The female has very large folicals and has ovlated now for the wait for eggs and hatching. I will up date when they are layed and hatched.

My 100% het for Clown, Agnes has a pattern much like that.

    Does it "mean" anything?

If she and my het Clown male ever produce Clowns [she already has for her previous owner] will her pattern make a difference?

I think the male is genetic, do you?

It's hard to see a lot with those pictures, but it looks to me like the second two pastels might have Daddy's pattern thing going on, while the first clearly doesn't. And the middle normal also seems to be reduced.

Small pictures but yeah his reduced and banded pattern really came through on a few of those!
Maybe keep a female and breed her back to dad in a few years to see if you can get a whole clutch of snakes with that pattern. Looks genetic to me.
    congrats! :gj:

The middle normal and the middle and right pastel seem to have a reduced pattern. Congrats!
