    Butter Morph
Hey y'all, still gathering up information. I know there are several different morph combos out there, I was curious if some of your more seasoned pros can help me out with something. I know I want to try to breed Nuclear Spiders down the road (butter fire spiders). Parker has a couple years to grow up, but I wanna hopefully find a butter male to breed to her to maybe get a butter spider to breed back to a fire. Now... somebody said its best to try and get double morph males. So my question is, what would be the most reasonable double morph male with butter? I don't have a lot of money, so I am trying to keep myself limited to only a few snakes right now and let them grow into breeding adults. So I still need to stay as low price wise as I can. Any help would be appreciated. :)

Depending on what your actual budget is pastel butters are pretty common and look nice. Any double gene males that have butter as 1 gene are going to be at least $800-1000.

I believe the cheapest combos you can get would be anything with pastel in it but you are looking at $700-800 for a pastel butter male. If your females aren't up to size start putting away extra funds. If you put aside $60-70 a month for the next year you would have enough cash. Plus this way it won't be so shocking instead of impulsively dropping almost a grand on a ball python. It sucks to wait but I think getting a combo morph is the way to go with males.

    Good luck hunting!

I am pairing both of my female spiders to my butter male this upcoming season..... Butter isnt a cheap ingredient there isnt really a cheap 2 gene butter animal most butterbees are going to be 750-1000 on a male and probably more closely toward the higher end of that range. Working on nuclear stuff, pic up a butter female for 3-400 bucks and then save up for a firefly male.... Wont get you nuclear spiders, but firefly males are so strong and versitile.

Fire Spider females are going about $1200 males about $700-900. Female butters $300-400.
Keep in mind that the price varies and can fluctuate a lot.
Just off a quick search on kingsnake you can buy a male Fire Spider for $700 and a Butter female for $300. So $1000 will get you what you want plus an extra $50-100 for shipping. I think Heather has some Fire Spiders available too! :gj:

If you don't want pastel then don't bother with any of the pastel codoms unless you want to get a Pastel Butter female but that will add another $400 or so.

I would save up for a pastel butter as well, and then you can grab a spider female. Boom, you have a chance right away. Maybe get the spider girl first and start growing her out and then save up for your pastel butter in a year.

The OP does have a spider female that she is raising up that's why she was looking for a good 2 gene male.

Btw, another nice 2 gene male that you could get for fairly cheap would be a pastel yellow belly and then you would have a shot at bumble bellies. :D I'm looking forward to trying for those in 2013. :)

I'm guessing her avatar is her normal, but her sig says Parker is a female spider and Crawly is her normal female. :)

Yep, I have a normal girl and a spider girl. Crawly is my avatar pic, that's my normal bp and my first baby. Parker is my spider and she was my second bp. I am raising both girls up to eventually breed. So I have the spider part of it taken care of at least. As for the butter/fire part, that's what I was working on. I was going to see if I could get a butter male and a fire female at the upcoming show next month, but I may just see if I can get a nice female and then save up for the male later to get a two gene boy for my girls.
