    Search Function is Usless...
I search Mouth Rot, and I'm getting threads for making lids for enclosures...gimme a break.

    waltah!
That's just kinda how search functions work on several forums. Some of those appear early simply because the word "mouth" was written a ton of times.
For kicks I went to a large reptile forum and searched the same. Within a few threads it came up with threads like "The next great Dinker" and "Super Pastel Lesser".

Now if you search for "mouthrot" you'll get better results.

+1, the quotations make it so it's searching for "mouth rot" in that exact order. If you only search mouth rot, you're pulling up every thread with "mouth" and "rot" in it, not even necessarily on the same thread. Works the same as google....

Here is what I do for searching forums (even if you can't use the search function because you are not a member).

Type in your google search bar-

    site:ball-pythons.net mouth rot

results should look like this :

    http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...ient=firefox-a

Because you have the site: google knows what www. address to look specifically under.

    I hope this helps everyone!

I do that too. And I also view the cached version if I can't look at it for whatever reason. Love google!

And like I said, you can search any website or forum like this, even if you are restricted because you are not a member.

Don't feel dumb. It took a long time of me getting mad at the search function to figure that trick out.
