how much did you pay?

If everyone doesn't mine me asking, I was wondering how much people spent on their first bp's?

I spent 300$ on my first.

1st one: I paid $50 bucks for an adult normal male, which came with a 55 gal tank, hot rock, screen lid, and a bag of slightly freezer burned mice.

250. For a male pastel 66% het pied.

My first one was free with the tank, lights, substrate, book, water dish, rock, and tree. I paid 60 bucks for an adult female soon after.

$50 for a baby normal male.

40 for the first normal baby(still have him), and then later on 60 for an adult normal-R.I.P

$125 on a male mojave. But I dont have him anymore, decided to buy a female instead..

$30 for a young female normal.

About $5,000 for a pair of Pastels.

$75.00 for my YB Ball.

$25 adoption fee to a rescue organization for my first - a year old normal female - with health certificate from a qualified herp vet, info booklet, and lifetime support from knowledgable people. :gj:

I paid $100 for a female normal and I got her at my local stop and die pet store. I know better now and I don't feel so bad because she is female and had some decent size on her when I got her last year. :)

My very first two were rescues and were free. I didn't know much back then.

A few years after they were re-homed for aggression, which I now know was my bad care, I spent $450 on a pair of 100% het pieds.

I'm not going to say how much I've spent since then. If I don't put it in writing, I can pretend it's not much. :P

Hahaha i remember those days. Crazy how the market has changed. I paid 14k on a spider male in 2002 from spider balls.net. dont know if you remember that guy man did he make some money on spiders

$125 on a male Mojave that I later traded for an Albino female.

80 bucks for my female at a petstore. Another 400 for everything else. I admit it was an impulse buy but she is my favorite and I got her from a really good store. And thanks to everyone here she gave me an awesome clutch and is big and beautiful now.

$20 for a month and a half old male normal from a local breeder.

$60 for my normal male from a local shop

$15 dollars on a male hatchling at a reptile expo. he is now a little more than 2.5 feet

my first was free with everything but i paid 250 for an adult male spider soon after.

5000 for to pastels that must have been along time ago

My first BP, when I was 7, was an adult female for $100 from a pet shop. Loved that snake, she was a PYTHON! :)

When I bought my first morph in 2005, it was a $3,100 male Cinnamon Pastel from Ben Siegel...and the foundation of my current collection. Most satisfying and positive investment I've ever made.

Petsmart. $80 for a normal.

$50 (plus cage & accessories) for a normal female from East Bay Vivarium... great place to buy a snake, and I still have Delilah today. :)

$200 for a male spider female pastel pair. About 15 years ago I did have a pair of normals though which were free. I knew nothing about snakes then though and traded them for a walkman, lol.

first 3 were free as they were rescues. then i got a free pastel female from a buddy who wanted me to venture out into balls. i was already breeding corns. most ive spent is 600. i dont feel any snake is worth more than that and dont feel the need to spend that much on one either. just wait two years and get it for 75.99 and some chewed gum.

I spent 125 for a ghost male.

Then now have a 2011 bumblebee female for 500, and a 2010 bumblebee het ghost for 1250.

The next thing will be trying to find a pied het ghost, and that'll be pricier.

Including shipping, I spent $125.00 on a 2010 male pastel ball from bhb enterprises.

$45 for my pastel male
$350 for my lesser female

both are only about 3 months old. my female lesser came with $350 worth of female attitude for free!

$600 for a female 100% het pied 50% het axanthic. :gj: I got her just over a year ago at around 600 grams. :)

I paid $25 for my gorgeous dinker normal girl with the whole setup included.

If I remember right, we paid $75 eight years ago for a pretty "male" normal that turned out to be a female. We still have her.

$70 for a captive farmed male (bought as a female, then probed by someone who knew what they where doing :) but hey he's got a complete back stripe so gonna play and see if it's genetic.)
And that's when the trouble started....:D

I paid $30, plus shiping was about 70 bucks. He is a normal male but 100% het. for albino :)
