Self dumbo rex/patchwork?

Unusual offspring from het dumbo to dumbo male (petsmart pickup):

I believe it is a Rex, but neither parent showed any signs of curly whiskers, and not having great luck on offspring (only have 3 adults).

Looks to be a recessive hairless?

Would that cause a light, patchy coat of hair and curly whiskers?

Generally double rex would do that but its very possible you have a poor hairless. I've had hairless take 8 months to get rid of all their hair.
