Corn ate all of my live feeders!!!!

Alright, so I have a ball python that ONLY eats live. I was about to offer it the weekly mouse. I had 4 adult mice in the bin. I didn't even pay attention to the fact that I had taken out my adult snow corn about a half hour before and had put it on my bed as always to crawl around.

So I accidentally left a small corner of my mouse container open. I come back into the room a few minutes later and discover all four mice are missing and my snake is HUGE. Like gigantic. ARGHGHG!!!! There goes $12 in feeders!

What a pig lol!!!

wow. you are very lucky! 4 mice can do a helluva lot of damage to one snake if they get the chance

They were all in a deep bin so I imagine that the snake just picked them off one by one.

Oh my god, well that's just pig-like of him!! Kind of impressive how he spot out where the live prey was at, but definitely a loss of the feeder mice :(.

Sorry about the feeders, but that's just crazy!

I was impressed myself. I set the bin of mice on a small coffee table across the room. I was gone no more than 15 minutes!!! I am absolutely sure there are no loose mice either. He ate every damn one!

I am sorry, but this is amusing me. I just had to get over my fear of feeding a small rat to my BP, it seemed so huge, but not bigger than him. He is pretty much useless until he smells food.
This to me just sounds like a snake with character. Hahaha, if you could see me I am giggling. It is nice to hear about the amusing points of owner pets. Crap happens sometimes. Sometimes, it is the crap, that happens. And sometimes it you have a dog or snake, that are counter surfers. I am glad you are taking this with a grain of salt. It's a snake, it had oppurtunity, and sure sounds like a piggy.

Our king is set on our weekly feed..................she doesnt poo all week...................2 to 3 mice go down the hatch and then the back door opens to evacuate whats left of last weeks meal:O:rolleyes::O

It's a VERY slender snake to begin with. Always eaten well, just never seems to take on any weight. About the size of a golf ball now though lol

The Corns are known as opportunistic feeders... I dont remember where but in one of books about reptiles some researcher was describing situation where corns go to underground Mice nest and eat whole liters if they have chance. They was blocking exit end eat everything one by one... so this not surprising me at all.

Wow... I wish our corns pooped like a large boa. Even our yearlings stink up the whole house (and they have their own room) when they poop. It is unholy!

I've got an amel corn that will gorge himself if given the chance. He is our garbage disposal if someone refuses a f/t meal.

That is awesome!!!! I have an asf feeder tank that is getting ready to burst and could use some help, the breeders wont stop lol

My corn stinks when it "goes" but I didn't think it was that bad.

corn snake poo DOES stink a lot, but definitely not stink up the whole house! we have like...25 corns i think? can only smell it when we're standing right beside the rack.

i much prefer BP doodie! neat little logs, lol

What's funny is that he hasn't moved from his hide since the incident. I assume it's like the equivalent of eating 4 extra large value meals.

I have a corn snake that I got a short while ago...he is eating like a monster himself! When I first got him he looked like a pinky was a good sized meal for him. a month and a half later he is now woofing down fuzzies. OM NOM NOM he wont stop! lol!!

Doesn't surprise me too much! My first snake was a corn snake, and the one thing I learned about the species more than any other aspect.. they are PIGGIES who will eat anything you put in front of their face, every day if you let them.
