    Another Dinker Proves Out.....
We picked up this CH male a couple of years ago. We bred him to a normal female earlier this year and she laid a clutch of 6 eggs 55 days ago. I cut the eggs today and to my delight all 6 babies appear to be carbon copies of dad only smaller of course.

Here's a few pics of dad when we got him. He more or less looks the same now. We'll post pics of the babies once they come out and get a few meals.

Thanks! Yeah, that belly was one of the reasons we picked him up. It would be nice to get 3 or 4 girls to grow up and breed back to him. :please:

Thanks! We didn't want to waste a morph female until we proved him out. We'll probably hook him up with one or two later this year and see what happens.

Thanks Robin! You're going to like them. From what I can see they look better than dad.

Sorry....it's just a little too messy for my taste. It will be worth the wait.

So fill those of us in that are missing something, what did you prove him out to be? I can't think of what CH means right now. (Noob I know)

It means that we proved his appearance was genetically inherited. CH means captived hatched. He was hatched in Africa from an egg laid by a wild caught female and then shipped to this country along with thousands of other baby BPs produced in like manner.

? Not seeing anything too special in the dad... To me looks like a normal with a nice clear belly... Post pics of the baby's as soon as they are out so I can see the light. :D

    Nice
Does not look like a normal to me. I think someone on another forum just hatched out an Enchi cross from a Dinker that looks a lot like yours. I like it.

Thanks! They'll probably be out in 2-3 days. I may even post a rare pre-shed pic if they look good enough.

Thanks Ed! It's nice to prove a few of these projects out. I've got several more that I believe will eventually prove out.

Thanks Dave! In person it's very obvious he's "different". Maybe not so much in the pics.

Congrats, I'd love to see the babies! I agree, that male definitely looks different, almost yellowbelly even! I'd definitely try him to a YB female. Even if he's not YB, the resulting combo would be absolutely wicked I think.

I have to admit I don't see anything too striking other than him being exceptionally clean, but either way, it's pretty awesome to prove a dinker.

I can't wait to see what it looks like when you combo it out with others.

Thank you! Yeah, those great odds scare me because I usually pay for them on the next clutch or two and the other side of the coin isn't near as shiny.

It's too soon to consider naming them. It's definitely genetic but there's still a lot to learn about them. Hopefully we'll get a good look at the babies in the next day or two.

Dad looks awesome....so much potential there! You could go light (Vanilla, Fire) and go dark (Black Pastel, Sable) and it could be awesome on both spectrums!
Congrats on proving out yet another dinker and wow...amazing odds!

Oneday ill find out :D and by then youll have it named for sure lol. But still wow.
