I've been reminded of this post a couple of times today.
It seems that there should be a refresher course on this very important subject. Please give it a read.

Good find, I found it very fitting :gj:

Me too and
<----- I am READY

Eh...Looks more like a bunch of biased, prejudice crap. Elitist much? What's the point of a "FORUM" again? Here I thought it was to discuss random subjects on the internet. So everybody that's not an ass-kissing cowering clone is a "troll"? Cool, now I know. I never really did know the definition. Some (far too many) people take themselves WAAAY too seriously. Lighten up and have some fun. And if you're too anal and delicate to do that, best advice...Just mind your own business. :8:

As a troll, I must say that I am HIGHLY OFFENDED. Having to pay my rent in the form of "RAGE UNITS" is hard enough folks. I don't need the constant pressure of "Troll Snipers" after me. I have little trollettes to feed!
Jk Deb. :D I looooove you. Please don't shoot me! *hides behind bridge column* :tears:

The Foreigner -- Often mistaken for a Grammar Butcher because they are trying to communicate in a language that they did not grow up with. Also, different cultures have different customs for expressing things like respect and gratitude, so such niceties are often lost in translation. But no matter where someone is from, or what language they were born to, their motivations are just as likely to be as warm and sincere as anyone else's.
The Proud... The Polish... The Troll :O:O:O
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
I love this tread... waltah! I think we Should Sticky Care Sheet for Trolls somewhere in Site Info section maybe ??

Maybe you're taking this too seriously?

"Just mind your own business."

Please show me ANYwhere one our site where it states that our mission or purpose here is to "discuss random subjects on the internet". The purpose of THIS site is to help people learn how to take care of their animals and to support those that do so. When....ummm....certain individuals...come along and try to disrupt the peace of the community for nothing more than their own amusement, it also disrupts our primary purpose for being here. And you can be very sure we do take that seriously.

I don't consider myself anal or delicate just because MY definition of "fun" doesn't line up with YOUR attempts at personal amusement. And my best advice for you, Ryan, is to be very careful about telling people on MY forum that WE allow you to participate on to "mind their own business."

Trolololololol,
I like that thread, it's quite amusing

Since that's the sentence you choose to grab onto, I'm referring to scoldings and electronic punishments handed down by moderators. Being stripped of my avatar and changing the color of my little dot is like being in pre-school (Let the "pre-school" comments begin now.) Just so unnecessary. Relax.
Blah blah Blah.

I just checked and ryant.net is an available domain name. You could always go start your own site.
When you joined THIS site you agreed to the terms and conditions and have been made aware that a certain level of civility and respect is expected. You certainly don't have to agree with anyone else, but you also don't get to act like you own the place.
As for your avatar and the color of your "little dot" that is a result of having so many comments voted down by the members of the site. Nobody pushed a magic button and made it happen. Since you made the pre-school comment I'll say that being a staff member of a site shouldn't be like child care, especially when we're talking about adults.
So as I said, you can start your own site and run it any way you like. This site will run the way the owners of the site would like it to be. If those two things don't gel then nobody is forcing you to login, but the owners aren't going anywhere. There are 15yr old members here who don't have a problem with the rules and respecting the members of this site.

Not by any members, only moderators. Tell the truth.

Look babycakes, if you're going to get all pissy about it, you have the freedom to leave. We aren't stopping you. These guys have the freedom to do whatever they want with THEIR site. Just because they made it available to the public doesn't mean it's a free for all. And *gasp* I HAVE AN INFRACTION and I'm not all pissy about it. You want to know what it was for? Cursing. I curse like a drunken sailor in real life but I censor myself because there are young kids that come onto this forum (learned that AFTER I got the infraction).
TL;DR It's their house and if you don't want to live by the rules you can leave.
And I really hope you aren't actually attempting to troll because if you are, go back to forechin and lurk more. 0/10

People report posts, moderators act. That's how it goes on every public forum (in most cases). Lrn 2 internet.

If that's actually the case there's a reason for it. The staff here HAS to read your posts. The staff is also who you are generally disrespectful to as well. Others have the opportunity not too. I will say that members here have called you a troll on many occasions. There's also a reason for that. You were also the only one who seemed truly offended by this thread. Hey, there's also a reason for that.
Sometimes I wish I had to option to use the ignore function.

punishment to fit the ability of the culprit to understand his error
You'll see.
If you manage to stay.

Actually by one member, 2 moderators and three admins - of which I was most definately one.
Maybe you should try creating less work for the staff to satisfy your own amusement when you are bored as you put it? Or put those threads on a different forum where the overall atmosphere will be more tolerant of them.
I am not trained in childcare and have no interest in babysitting every thread you decide to create purely to troll the site. It is not a sensible use of my time and the solution is vastly easier.
But, as Waltah! pointed out, because of your posting history we have to read your threads and cannot just avoid reading them. The side effect of this being you might irritate a regular member by trolling but you will irritate the staff. A lot.
I do find it fairly telling however that you read a thread with no names mentioned and decided from the troll related content it applied to you enough to generate offense.

I think it was great timing bringing this thread back. Thank you Waltah, I have not had the pleasure of reading it until now. I also have a few infractions. One unintentional, one a live, learn, and move on. I love and respect this site. For anyone who doesn't feel the same, what's the point of hanging around.

You are totally disrespectful towards the staff and you want to complain about the little dot????? Perhaps if you would grow up and stop behaving like an imbecile you would be treated in a different manner.

I found this funny dr del and I agree because when this thread was posted, I automatically thought about a completely different member. Can you say guilty conscience?
-
Ah, I love this thread.
There is much win to be had in it.
