Depends on what you want to see in your rack. I made that decision a while ago and ended up with a Lesser :D

albinos can make some pretty cool the albino pin, albino spider, and albino black pastel are all very cool looking. However they take a long time to make these morphs. Lesser make some cool stuff to the BEL's are my favorite morph lol. Up to you really I plan on making a BEL before I get into albinos

I agree, it's up to you. If you want immediate results go with the lesser, if you want to wait for the big "pay off" go with the albino. I would rather get my albino before a lesser just so I have longer to work with them, I should be getting a female of each this year, hopefully.

It depends on what other snakes you have.

I think that the albino morph is a really solid investment, and that it always will be.

The lesser is a more versatile morph, and has a faster payoff.

Depends on what you want to look at and what you want to breed. Do you want a codom or a recessive?

Can't go wrong with an albino but I say Lesser all the way I'm also one of the biggest lesser and blue eyed Lucy fans out there. Don't know if I'm the right Guy to give advice. Lol

LESSER.. But im biased.. Im working on the BELs but thw good thing with lessers is that you can breed them to anything and get some sweet lookong snakes.. Albino your stuck until u get a nother one to recreate it

It takes just as long to make BEL's as it does albino morphs, if you start with female albino VS male lesser.

Here's a loose timeline, I realize 18 months is young to breed females but they do and will(I have eggs in the inc from two females that bred at 18 months old).

Buy a hatchling male lesser(May 2011) and breed it to a normal(Nov 2011) and hold back female lesser that hatches in June 2012
Raise that female lesser 18 months(Nov 2013) and breed to the male lesser(Nov 2014) for hatchling BEL's in June 2014

OR

Buy a female hatchling albino(May 2011) and raise her to breed at 18 months old(Nov 2012)
and hold back male morph het(June 2013)
Breed that male morph het to mom(Nov 2013) for baby albino morphs (June) 2014

In the end it is what you want to see in your tubs, I've got both projects going and they each are exciting in their own right.

no collection is complete without and albino, imo
albino, imo, is a must have just for it's beauty - even if you never breed it - i have found, particularly among non-keepers, but to some degree with snake people as well that nothing has the WOW factor like an albino - the only thing that gets close to them as far as WOW factor goes, again, especially with non keepers would be a real good pied - i attached pics of my albino male and my pied female
thats a lot of wow - whatcha think??

In my opinion, I vote albino. I just got my first albino and I love him. I saw some lessers that were nice too, but visually albinos are just amazing. However, if your plan is to breed, lesser might be what you want to go for. When I bought my last snake I narrowed it down to mojave, cinny, albino, or lesser and I just went with what caught my eye. Ended up being the albino. You can't go wrong either way, both gorgeous snakes.

if u have a female normal get the lesser at least u can start off making half lessers half normals (roughly) vs all normals het albino.... if u wanna work albinos pick up a few het albinos and the lesser ive seen pairs of het albinos for 100-150 bucks and u could produce ur albinos much cheaper and still get ur lesser... just my two cents !

I have a lesser, and my albino is on his way next week. It's a tough call, but if you're breeding, I'd say lesser. I"d love a BEL.

I vote albino.

My albino is what got me into ball pythons and while the recessive genetics are a little more work, the payoff is incredible for what they can be combined with. That said, I LOVE the BEL and am planning on getting 1.1 lessers in the near future to breed. Ultimately it's up to you and what your breeding plans, if any, are. Good luck and be sure to share lots of pics of whatever you choose! :gj:
