Nothing like waking up to a 70F house

Either the AC didn't stop or the heat didn't kick on but it was rather brisk this morning. Cool side of tank was at 69 and warm side was 79. Cranked the heating + heat pad and now she is happy at 80 cool side and 90 warm.

I personally loved the cold, not used to having to watch and care about temps in the house lol.

Same here! Fortunately, my windows were only cracked and my bed blocks them, so the babies were nice and warm.

That's jersey for ya, unbearably hot one day and freezing the next.

Up! 86 yesterday, 66 this afternoon, lol.

43 degrees outside this mornin but a nice 86 in the snake room

Everything was cold here and now Im debating on getting more heat panels or build a room in the basement and use space heater. Im guessing that they are both going to cost the same just trying to figure out the most effective way. Im leaning towards the room, but the panels come with less work ;)

Space heaters make me nervous. I'm sure they're made better than they used to be, but I'm too scared of burning my house down, lo!

I use an oil filled radiator. Works great. Hooked up to my herpstat to on off. Also im suprised u guys feel is cool.. Had my house at 68 all summer. Hha

I was out most of the day doing errands and had it on, although it has a thermostat built in I was still thinking about it...and it was off when I got home and not as warm as I was hoping lol

That's the problem, I don't mind if it's 10f or a 100f but apparently the critters do ;) so I have to build a room to appease everyone!

I woke up and it was 44 outside. I was shivering after my morning smoke. So a nice spot check of the snakes in the nice 83 degree room felt nice. I might sleep in there tonight LOL

Do you have a thermostat? Like a herpstat? I have my oil heater set on max... Connected through my herpstat.. Set to 77. The herpstat has an option to Change the output to on/off mode rather then power supply. And wow It works amazing.. I cant put into words how good of an investment my herpstat 2 was.. I have my rack on one output and my oil heater on the other. That way my racks are perfect and my room is perfect.

My next will be the herpstat 4 or the other top of the line one they have.. IMO best thing i have bought for my snakes yet!!!

This time of year does suck! It will be nice when the heating is on and the house temps are somewhat stable! It's only a matter of time before I have to turn on the space heater in the snake room :(
