Little Sling's Sweet Web!
So when I got home from class last night I saw that my little versi had been busy!

http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...16620349_n.jpg

Molting last Tuesday and spinning a lovely web this Tuesday! What will next Tuesday bring? They grow up so fast!

Post pics of some of your creepy crawlies' coolest webs!

I can't wait to post on this! I just took Irwin's web down that he came with (I was told to take it out occasionally to give them something to do lol) and I can't wait to see what he does next! I felt horrible taking it out, it was like destroying a work of art, but now he has something to do lol. Nice art you have there :D

I'm being super careful to not disturb his web too much just yet but taking it down once in awhile so they can entertain themselves sounds like a good idea. I'm mad at him for making it right at the lid, lol.

Hehe I love seeing webs! None of my T's are big webbers. My pulchripes was big into webbing when I first got her, and she'd leave a trail of silk behind her when she walked lol, but she stopped after a couple days being with me.

Other than that, the only webbing mine do are making molting mats and webbing up the doors to their hides during a molt. They're boring lol :P

That's why I can't wait to get a GBB! Webbing like crazy :D Cool pic. On a side notee I think that's why a lot of arboreal T enclosures use side entrances. Less chance for escape and web destroying.

Regards,

This is my little tarantula Frieda,

She was a gift to me, I had to act quickly since the gifter didnt give the giftee anything to house her in. so i am currently using this 1 gallon ice cream container. her webbs coat the ground. Any advice on what i can put in there with her? Her cage seems like a prison cell compared to your guys's. please help me out with some cool ideas. she ussually stays in her cave untill eating time. ive had her for a week now. i too am currently housing an arachnid in a 1gallon ice cream container.i have a devil scorpion in there(h.spinigerus).
for decor in your blonds home, you can get a lil coconut hide from petsmart or a rock cave, some cork bark, some nice packed down coco fiber to burrow in,a fake plant and a cricket for a roommate.look around at enclosures and let your creativity fly.its fun.

thank you :) i will do that. When my dad brings the car back im gona head straight there lol. i nvr thought but those coconut hides wil be perfect! Also, i love the 1 gallon ice cream container idea, dont you? it is like perfect for her. One question (I am extremely new to arachnids) You called mine a blonde, is that what kind it is? My older brother gave me it, He has a lot of them. And It was short notice so im still in heavy research. Can you give me its full name please? Thanks.

If you were given it as a desert blond tarantula (I think that's what you said earlier in the thread) then that would make it Aphonopelma chalcodes but your best bet would be to ask your brother what kind it is to be certain.

Ours did the same thing. We have to be very careful to not disturb the web or it gets mad. And it has gotten lazy. We have it now where we can toss a few crickets into it's "hammock" so it can eat, lol.

Ok, thanks, thats what i meant was to to know its scientific name was. My brother said that it is correct and thats what it is, and he gave me a lesson about it pretty much. Also, i have added some cool stuff to her enclosure. will post some pics of it tommorow :) thanks.
