    Which one would you keep?
I have two male pastels, and I really only need one of them. I keep going back and forth on which one to keep. The first one is cleaner with nicer blushing, but the second is larger, neat pattern and nicer temperament. His yellow seems a bit brighter too. But he is browning out on top.
I would keep both, but I just got a male pewter too.

    Which one would you choose?

    Male 1

First one is on the bottom in this pic, the larger one is on the top. Just kind of shows them next to each other.

I really can't contribute anything intelligent to your thread, I can however send you my address for whichever one you decide not to keep :D

    I really like the 2nd

From the pictures provided the first one looks to have better blushing and has retained his yellow more so than the second male. The second male has an amazing busy pattern IMO. If it were me I'd keep the first one. Good luck choosing.

I would pick the one I felt was the best representation of the morph to be a future breeder, but that's just me and my mentality/motivation for my particular breeding program.

In the end it all up to you, my only advice is to pick which one you think you would be the happiest with.

I am still learning about what makes for the best representation of a morph. This is why I am asking opinions. I think #1 is nicer in that he is cleaner with nicer blushing, but then #2 has that amazing pattern, so I wasn't sure which was more desirable.

I would pick number one - the nicer looking snake always wins in my world - unless its a female and then its a tie off between size and coloration. The females you want to be big because they will produce more eggs - the male doesn't matter as much as long as he's big enough to breed. Go with the nicer looking boy. Just my .02

I'd go with number 1, the one with better color. Afterall, the pastel is a color morph.

Make that another vote for #1.

I like the pattern on #2, but #1 has great blushing and seems to be retaining his color a lot better. I would keep the first one, hands down.

    Hi,

What are your plans ( breeding and combo wise ) for the pastels?

Would banding be worth trading colour and blushing for?

If you have a specific snake in mind for a partner what pattern does it have?

Well I have a female pastel, so super pastels would be in his future. I am also hoping to purchase a female pin, as I am hoping for lemon blasts. But that is really all.

#1, He's definitely cleaner and I love how blushed out he is.

Number 1 to me is a better looking Pastel! I would think he would produce sweeter looking babies, due the the amount of yellow and the clean blushing.

I personally like pastels that have the least amount of brown out..that to me makes a good pastel. Brighter pastels means brighter super pastels, etc!

The pattern on number two could be fun to mess with, it's really cool, but if you have to just keep one I'd go with the first! But that's just me personally!

Mini miny moe it, either way you'll end up with a good looking pastel.

Then I also would go for number one.

I was thinking number two might have made some nice banded reduced bumblebees if you had the right spider.
