    Introduction and pics DUW
Well my wife and I are just now becoming more involved in some of the forums and think its time we get involved in a ball python forum. I have been keeping and breeding reptiles for about 15 years now. I started many years ago with Chameleons (not the best entry level reptile...but I LOVED them), Peruvian RTB, and Leopard Geckos. I bred these and added in a few species until I joined the Marines in late 04. Before my first deployment my wife and family refused to care for ALL my animals (except a small colony of Leopard Geckos my wife was working with)...so sadly I had to sell off everything I had. Three deployments and 2 years of being out, now I can finally rebuild my collections and get back into the scene.

We are just getting our stocks back up but are very pleased with the collection so far. Thank you for looking.

We have a few more and a couple more on the way. My wife is a professional photographer...but as you can see I am not the best with her camera lol. Thanks again for looking

    Beautiful snakes!

Welcome! Feel free to share pics any time ;)

Sucks you lost your collection :( Good luck getting back in the game!

(I would so rather care for a ton of BPs than a colony of leopard geckos. They are cute and all, but snakes are so much easier! IMO!)

Snakes certainly are 10x easier...but my wife is the gecko freak so I don't see them leaving anytime soon.

Congrats on being able to do what you love again. I had to do the same thing when I joined the Air Force, it was a hard but necassary choice to make. You have a great collection. That enchi is perfect!

Good to see more military members on here. Thank for the welcoming and for all the comments. We are very happy with our collection so far.

@MidSouthMorphs - What was your MOS if you don't mind me asking. I started as a 0311 then became a 0317 after my first deployment.

6313, FML with an open contract. I got selected for MarSOC in November but had no spots for re-enlistment(I waited to late), so I went ahead and got out.

Thanks for the comments everyone. We didn't plan on jumping in quite this strong but once I got started I couldn't stop. Im sure you all know.

MarSOC is a pretty good group of guys. I turned down slots for recon and MarSOC though because I knew I wasn't going to re-enlist. I hated watching my son grow up in pictures and him barely recognize me when I come back from deployments. Military is not conducive to family...especially combat MOS'.

That it isn't. I was deployed twice in the same year. From July 08-Feb 09 and then again in Oct 09-May 10. My unit actualy just left again for a 9 month deployment. I loved being an active duty Marine but I have always wanted to start my own business dealing with reptiles.

Nice way to jump back in to a collection. You must have saved some of you deployment money... I wish I did looking back.

I joined the Marine Corps back in 2006 and luckily for me my parents agreed to care for my ball pythons. I sold everything else that I had to a kid that owned a pet shop that I knew. I'm looking forward to going back to Florida and working with my reptiles when I finally get out in a couple months. haha

Well I did have a lot of deployment money saved up...but my wife and I had a baby and all that money seemed to disappear really fast. Most of our collection is thanks to our Leopard Geckos...we had a good season this past year. I see your in Oki...you enjoying it over there?
