MOVEMENT on only DAY 2! Video
Firstly, I am very happy to say that I finally got my first clutch of eggs! My female het pied (bred to a male het pied) dropped 6 perfect eggs 37 days after her pre-lay shed.
Now that they're here, I can't stop looking at them! I candled them yesterday and today I did again, and was extremely surprised to see motion inside! I thought they didn't move until they were two weeks old or older. I took a video - let me know what you think :D

Thanks. I know it's just a little shadow moving around, but I got so excited over it. :P I had to do a video.

Oh man, twins would be awesome. One of the eggs has patches of veins on the left and right sides, and a blank 'strip' of just yellowish clear down the middle. I wondered if that might mean there could be twins in it, like the patches of veins are analogous to two separate placentas. :) Time will tell.

I candle every 2 weeks and check water level..
Alright. I did wonder if the light would bother them, or maybe damage their eyes as they're developing. I'll have to resist opening up that box after all.
