    Is this a spotnose?
I got this one at the Daytona expo a few weeks ago. It was at the silent auction, sold as a 100% het. Albino. It was biting alot, then it shedded, then it ate, then it quit biting, so I could get a picture of its head. I think she looks like a spotnose, and they had a few of those at the auction also. I'll try to get some better pictures.

Spotnose heads are as contrasted as Jungle carpet pythons. It isn't faded there is pattern like on a spider or a clown head..

Ahh, I see, that makes sense. I figured it might have just been picture quality, but it would still be more contrasty even then. Spotnoses are a morph I know next to nothing about! I can see it now, sorry!

Here are some better pictures. It has higher contrast than in the pictures.

Nope, not a spotnose. The breeder would have also known if it was a spotnose and charged spotnose, het albino prices, which would be significantly more than a het albino.

Here's a thread on Spotnoses with lots of pictures to see what a spotnose head looks like:

    http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...44660-Spotnose

Edit - just saw you won it at an auction. With as many ball python people who were there, there's little chance that it would have been missed, if it had indeed been a spotnose - someone would have corrected it before it went up for auction.

It keeps getting brighter and higher contrasted, at the auction the head looked like a solid color, but now after it shedded it keeps getting darker and more contrasting.
