    Your snakes and Cage Cleaning
So what do you all do with your snakes while you clean their cages?

I sit on the floor for some of my cleaning, so if they're being good, they can just sit in my lap while I clean out their tub and put fresh paper in. If they're being squirrelly or if there's too big a mess for a simple quick-clean, then I put the snake in a bag and set it on my desk (which is next to my snake rack). If I had a big rack with some empty drawers, I would just designate one of the empty drawers as a holding pen.

I normally just have Spot around my neck, unless I'm using bleach or something with bad fumes to clean - then he's kept in a tub or spare cage.

I typically hold onto him, or set him on the desk that his tank sets on. If it's a big mess, or he's in shed or digesting, I put him in his spare tank. He's pretty chill, not terribly anxious- but also a curious little bugger, so I gotta watch him close! If his head goes out of sight, I move him back to start.

Into it's temporary tub, or occasionally a soak in the same tub.

I'll have my girlfriend hold onto them while I clean, if she's not home I'll use a snake bag.

Since I have a converted showcase set up as a home for my BP, I just set him on top of it while I clean it. I tried putting him on my neck during cleaning, but most of the time my head is stuck inside while I clean and it gets a bit risky with the tight squeeze

I put my boa and ball around my neck, the corns I try to hold in one hand and clean with the other since they are so squirmy! haha. When my boa is bigger I am not too sure what I will do. Probably will have to have a friend hold him while I clean or have him around my arms and waist.

I have a spare tub in my rack to use when cleaning. And occasionally it is used for a soaking tub.

Whe I clean, I set the snake on a chair near the rack and cover it with an old dark towel.

It takes me about two minutes to pull a tub, remove the paper toweling, spray the tub and wipe it out, and put new paper toweling in. Another few seconds to top off the water bowl or swap it out for a clean one if it's needed. The hide gets wiped off and put back. Occasionally I'll remove all of the hides and give them a good community soak and scrub, but wiping them off is usually enough.

My snakes don't try to get out from under the towel. It takes them longer than a couple of minutes for their "exploring" instinct to kick in if they're covered. They curl up and hang out and I glance at the chair every few seconds to be sure that nobody is trying to absquatulate while I'm freshening up their crib.

Each of my snakes has their own travel/holding tub. While I clean the cages and tank, each goes into their nice fuzzy mat lined familiar tub. :D

Yes I know...I spoil my snakes. And I do that whether I have 10 snakes or 2. :P
