Congrats on the Lavender. I was hoping to be able to prove out my hets for next year but the female doesn't look like she'll be up to wait this fall! I'm so jealous!

Het lavender x het lavender. I had my doubts about the female because she looked much darker than the male, and had huge het pied markers to boot---I was worried maybe I'd been shipped the wrong het. But no, she's exactly what she was supposed to be.

Yeah, I know how that goes. My het female is a 2007, but she's my dedicated mouser. I was hoping to breed her last year, but there was just no way.

She still only eeked up to 1300 grams for this season. I'll probably give her a year off now to see if I can pad her up a bit.

Wow. Just re-read my post. Glad you figured out that I didn't mean 'wait' but was actually talking about her 'weight'. :P

Hah! I guess that's the sort of typo I would type, because I didn't even notice!

I feel exactly this way. I have a pair of het albinos and the male has het pied markers and a ringer. I also ordered a het pied male from the same seller at the same time that looks enchiish with no markers. Hets can be so antagonizing!!!! I am sure you are so relieved to see that widdle white head. Here's to a little white head for me next season:gj:

Awesome! I have a pair of PH Lav girls that I am trying to prove out this year. One is super bright and the other extremely dark. I'm interested to see what happens.

Again...Congrats on proving yours out!!! I hope to see this soon too!

Actually, I'm interested in seeing if a dark het produces different looking lavs than a bright het, so I hope yours both prove out and you can do a side-by-side comparison.

    (Thanks! Good luck with yours.)

(No idea what sex they are. I can usually pop young ones okay, but I've never tried new hatchlings before... all I see from these guys is pee squirting in my eye.)
