    Cool looking rats.

Are those crawlers single rex or double?

Thanks all for the nice comments.
@ Brian/Adam - Sad to say but I'm not sure. At first I though they were hairless like the sire but after checking them again they have the wavy hair thing going on. Below is a Q&A that answers my question regarding the sire but I'm still a little lost on the 1.1 crawlers, could have been one more but I accidentally froze it as a pink. Also, below is the pic of the sire that I bred back to his daughter. I'm completely lost when it comes to rat "morphs", but I really enjoy breeding them and am very happy to produce this pair whatever they are. I've feed too many cute ones that I wish I held back.

Sometimes double rex's look pretty close to true hairless during the molt, but double rex's in my experience always hair up after molting and true hairless do not.

    Double rex Siamese
Not the best pics but they show the transformation of double rex's :)

    Same double rex after molt

I'm not sure how a true hairless could throw a double rex, is the daughter a rex?
I think those are true hairless that will molt and be naked.

Thanks for the reply Jerry. I bought the sire when he was about 4 weeks old and he was the same as now, completely hairless. He has never grown any hair. The daughter looks like a regular dumbo as well as the daughters mother.

Isn't the true hairless gene recessive? :)

I'll just have to wait it out and see but what's weird is that I checked on my rats today (water & food) and I found another set of 1.2 in another tub. In that tub I have 1.3 breeders and the male is the hairless rat offspring but not the females. So I'm guessing I just lucked out with these rats carrying some rex/hairless genes. I will take pics of them tomorrow.
