just a spider?
Hi all, doesn't post much here, but I had to ask if our female is just a spider or something else. She has a nice stripe going down her back so...
We bought her as a proven breeder male spider, so I won't wonder if the seller has made some more mistakes :)
Here are some pics:

Thanks in advance!

looks a bit pinstripe-ish to me
but thats only me :p

How do you know it's a female? How would someone sell a female as a "proven breeder male"...
-
we probed her (another python breeder we know did) and that turned out to be female. Also, she didn't do anything when together with another female...
Maybe the seller made a mistake, but then he could alse made a mistake in the morph.

Does yours have the spinning disorder due to her having this solid stripe
-
she has no signs of the 'wobble'. I'm so glad for that! and yours?

Mine O she spins like crazy like no other " Should of named her corkscrew":P
and as far as wobbling she only does that when im showing her food and cause she wobbles so much she probably misses up to 5 times before she gets the rat thats with me holding the rat. shes special and a good breed er tho!;)
-
too bad she does have it... But good she is a good breeder :) Mine only wants live rats, and she doesn't has any problems taking it :)

Probing isn't 100%...and it doesn't mean anything that she didn't do anything with the other female...unless the seller was a complete nitwit I'd bet on it being a male...

It does look very pinstripish. Have it popped to determined the true sex. Seeing is believing. :)
I would definitely breed that and see what happens.
-
I tried to pop her and nothing came out, with my male it worked. I also have experience in sexing corns, so I know how to pop. But I will try to breed it to my mojave and see what will happen.

Something should pop out, whether it's male or female. Hemipenes, scent glands, cloacal "mound" or whatever it would be called...males get harder to pop as they get older.

Ok, let me try to explain (sorry english is not my main language:) ).
I popped my normal male (now 4 years) and the hemipenes came out, same with the mojave male (3 years). The spider is supposed to be from 2006, so 5 years old now and nothing obvious came out like with the normal or the mojave. I also did my other females (which are bigger than the spider, but also 3-5 years) and I had the same result with them as with the spider.
I will try to pair her/him with the mojave next year and see what happens. I will also try to put the spider in with a female and see what it does. :)

looks like a nice looking spider.
-
At first I was going to assume she's a spinner but I'm leaning towards just spider nice snake anyway
-
I've been seeing more spiders like this, and they have just been spiders with a pinstripe look
