First snake rack, with room to add for more. Holds 41 quart tubs. So what do you guys think?

are you using belly heat on there, and do the temps stay pretty steady? im wanting to make something pretty similar to yours which has more of "legs" rather then full sides but didnt know how well it would hold heat that way.

This set up doesnt really have what looks like full sides it just has a lil bit of a lip because I wanted a lil extra security to make sure the bp's of mine wouldn't get out. As far as heat am setting that up now, will be running the heat tape and letting you know in the next day or two :)

I'm getting ready to add heat to one I built like that. Did you use 3" ? And why not bigger? Think my tubs are bigger though.

Yep used the 3". I like this set up it's very sturdy, kinda frankensteinish looking as far as the keep tape goes but very effective and holds a total of (8) 41qt tubs right now only have the 5 shelves on it but will be putting the other 3 this weekend.

The shelves are each 36"x18" each sheet of melamine yielded 5 shelves. I have 5 pieces of melamine left over from this project that are 18"x12.5" that I am going to use to make another rack and each shelf will hold (2) 6qt tubs side by side :) thats my next project. Pictures soon to come.

Well it is holding heat very well, so go for it! The melamine seems to hold the heat in the tubs rather well. The temps in the tubs maintain cool side 78-80 and warm side 85-88. My large bp's love it!!!

well I'm adding 3 more shelves to this rack so it will hold a total of 8 41 qt tubs. and that will be cool w/me for this one. Then onto another rack that I have an idea for ;)
