Thank you from Massachusetts. I'm sure it's being hyped up way worse than it's going to be. I just hope we don't lose power, otherwise I'll have to borrow a generator from work :(

Anybody south of Mass who has been hit have power still? Is it really as bad as they say? I'm betting it won't be as bad as they say and I hope it will fizzle out before too long. Good luck to you south of Mass. Talk to u soon

Power out. Generator running. Trees down. One hit the corner of the house and blocked the driveway. Not as bad as Isabel but still strong. We are hanging in there.

Thanks all :) We lost power around 4am and most of our 4 acres is underwater. Pretty sure our weak little road to the highway has been torn in half (it washes away during regular storms)..all should clear up here in NC by morning! Then comes digging gravel out of ditches

We were only out for about 2 days, but it sucked! The temperature climbed to 91F inside..not a problem for my snakes, but my poor geckos! Everyone made it, with the exception of some tadpoles I was taking care of..and the only damage was that one of our huge pipes was unearthed and moved from our driveway/drainage ditch.

We live in an apartment complex, and the power went out for about a day and a half/two days here. We have no back-up generators or anything. I was running around at 2am trying to think of some way to keep my snakes warm, and our roommate came up with a pretty ingenious solution: space blankets! They trapped in the ambient heat from the UTH's and heat lamps, so the tanks stayed at about 80. It wasn't a perfect solution, but it kept them warm long enough for the power to come back on! :D

Luckily it was summer, so it wasn't freezing. My next purchase priority is to buy one of those generators, I don't want to lose power in the winter and have no way to heat my babies!
