Still don't know what to think about these girls.... I'm just floored. I kept leaning toward like a "hidden pied gene" or something however when u see where their ringers start they are at a similar location as mom!

And I'm guessing the lighter colored girl got they orange from her dad being a fire.

But still.. A GENETIC RINGER??? Huh??? Have u figured out who u are pairing up with her next season??

At a loss for words Dave.. Speechless. (in a good way tho) :)

Here is a picture of the parents...

    http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/p...01/ringers.jpg

The mother is in my avitar and she has no pied in her at all. She was produced by Brock Wagner by breeding a champagne to a normal. Most ringers have a small white ring by their tail and it was thought that this one was just an extreme example. The breeder male was produced by Steve Roussis and all his fire siblings were ringers. I produced these and two other less extreme examples.

I'm not sure what I'll breed her to next year but it will probably be a different male so I can see if it's her or the combination of the two that created these.

    Thanks!

Have you bred the Fire to anything else? You need to find out if that's genetic.....it looks like it might be...but is it the male?

    Awesome for sure though.

BG, thanks! I've bred the male and never got any ringers. He's fathered a few clutches before this one.
