Girlfriend for ghost male?

Hello everyone,

Earlier this year, I picked up my first ball, a ghost male. Well first snake really, I already have lizards and turtles. Anywho, I've enjoyed my ghost enough that is like to pick up a female to toy around with breeding. I've begun looking around world of ball pythons list, but still am curious over what would be some pretty interesting combinations for my ghost.

So, what kind of girl do you think would be fun?

Enchi het ghost.
Mojave het ghost
Lesser het ghost
Pinstripe het ghost
Super pastel het ghost

Any of those would be pretty awesome IMO!

Cinnamon Het Ghost would be my choice. Although I have yet so see a ghost combo I didn't like...so all the above are great as well.

At first I thought you were going to say you wanted to trade your girlfriend for a ghost xD

I always have had a thing for the pastel ghosts :)

Me too, I ordered a YB pastel female from Evan Stahl. I 'm having him wait to ship to see if he hatches out anymore female POGs this year, if so one has my name all over it.

But really I do appreciate all of the quick responses, they are helping me focus on my options.

Hypo (ghost) goes well with everything. Your options are limitless.

This is my vote. One of my favorite morphs.

Depends on your budget.

Anything Hypo or Het hypo will look good, hypo makes everything better :gj:

I love love LOVE anything hypo. I'm personally working on growing up my yellow belly female to put with my pastel orange ghost male, so that's one of my votes because the end product would be crazy.

Enchi ghost is awesome, and so is the hypo black pastel. Honey bees and humblebees are gorgeous as well. There are just too many to choose from!

I second the honeybees; they're remarkable. if you're looking to keep just two BPs and start a small breeding project, try to get a male bumblebee het hypo. it will be on the expensive side, but worth it to get a shot at honeybees in your first clutch.

Well, I've spent a couple of days looking at morphs and thinking it over.

I really like the idea of finding a female bumblebee het ghost.

Though I am curious. When looking for a 'girlfriend' for Fear (my male haha), is orange ghost compatible? Most likely a silly question, and I'll be actively searching for an answer for this, but figured I'd update on my current decision, as well as the next important thoughts.

Oh, and humblebees look magnificent.

What type of ghost is your male?

We have a captive hatched male ghost here that for his first breeding we paired him up with a female Orange Ghost just to see if he is compatible. If he isn't we will get a whole clutch of double het for two lines of ghost normal looking ball pythons. Unfortunately it happens.

The Honey bee is definitely a cool project, but if you really wanted a fun longer term project I really like the caramel glows.

Robin hit the nail on the head here. Hypos are a great simple recessive and make great combos!

:gj: If it were me I would probably get a Spider Het Hypo to hit Honey-Bee (Spider x Hypo) or a Bumble-Bee Het Hypo (if you can find one) to hit Humble-Bees (Spider x Pastel x Hypo).

I missed this post - This would be an awesome project. I do not have near the amount of patience for double recessives...

I'm curious if any of you would be willing to pitch in your opinions of what kind of ghost he is?

I am currently trying to basically guess what he would be compatible to. I found a few Bumblebee het orange ghosts, and am considering pulling the trigger.

i just went and picked up a trio yesturday 1.2 het orange ghost and they are great looking the male is great looking and the females are sweet i have a little while before they can start breeding but believe me i would recommend orange ghost all the way they can make all kinds of pretty snakes
