That's awesome Danny!!! Congrats  I didn't even know they had granite yellow anacondas :O What did you get a trio? Are they nippy as babies or not too bad?

Gorgeous annies, congrats! The granite morph is super cool. It makes their pattern almost leopard-print in some spots!

Thanks everyone. I bought all the guy had. there is 3.2 he warned me ahead of time they had tempers but so far the males seem really easy going. One of the females is a little defensive and strikes every now and then but shes the only one that has so far

Sweet, Dan! I've never seen those before. Recessive trait?

Pretty sure its recessive. But theres only been two breedings done that I know of and both were granite to granite. So we still need to breed one to a normal to find out for sure.

If there were no normals produced from granite to granite, then it's recessive. A dominant (or co-dom) would produce some normals even in a trait-to-trait breeding :D And a co-dom would produce some kind of "super" form.

well the thing is in both breedings there have been a few babies with a slightly different pattern. And we are not sure if thats a super form or if the recessive gene is just highly variable which is most likely the case being granites. Just like the burmese form of granite you have some that have a full granite pattern and some that have blotches all over them. I believe it to be recessive

Very nice, I hope you keep us updated on those beauties! I had a yellow for a decade or so, after the taming process he probably only bit me 4-5 times throughout. He would just turn his head into me every couple of years and give me a good slashing then go back to being his usual, calm self. What I remember most vividly is the strength of their grip, it's unreal - super strong snakes! Sorry if I rambled a bit but your pictures reminded me of an old friend, love me some notaeus! :D
