Have you dreamt about reptiles?

Last night, I had a rather weird dream. I dreamt that I went to the local mall and NERD had a store there. It was a pretty big store and the outside and inside was decorated to look sort of like a mountain, like some of those nature stores used to be back ten or twenty years ago.

So I went there, intending to buy some new snakes. In the front of the store was a couple of display cases that had some venomous snakes, a couple of lizards, and some birds (weird). In the back of the store were massive anamatronics behind glass, which were labeled as duplicates of museum scenes that had been donated by NERD, so they had a copy in their store too. Note, the entire store had that sort of cave style to it, like some zoos and museums do.

In the very back of the store, behind a rock arch, was a large escalator. I went down the escalator because one of the employees told me that a large snake wall (think a huge wall of smallish display cases) was downstairs where they kept all their ball pythons for sale. Not only was there the ball python display case, but there was a sort of... stone podium and an bunch of seating around it, where someone was giving an educational talk about a burmese python.

I didn't actually get to look in the ball python displays (nor buy them...even in my dreams!! Hah) because I woke up.

That was an odd dream! Man, I wish there was a real store like that.

Have you ever dreamt about snakes or reptiles in general?

I wont get into details but I dream about reptiles ALL the time.

I've dreamt about reptiles before ever having any. I've had recurring dreams about alligators, which I encounter in real life quite a bit as I hit the Everglades fairly frequently. I've had them do death rolls next to my canoe, hiss at me because I got too close, and - more often than not - run away from me when I've startled them. I love gators and I respect them, but am in no way afraid of them.

Yet, in my dreams, they are always objects of terror: They're chasing me; they're cornering me; they're attacking me or someone I care about. I've had dreams where I come upon a huge garden at a castle or something, and the mile-long pool in the courtyard is overflowing with gators.

Who knows what the hell any of that means...

After beginning my collection a couple of years ago, I've had the usual dreams where one of them escapes, or is hurt, etc., but nothing too wild about the snakes themselves.

Never dreamed about reptiles that i remember.

Yup, I've been dreaming about them quite bit lately....I just figured its because Ive been nervous about getting my first neonate boa. He's in my dreams a lot....my gold fish have made some appearances too, where they're swimming around in mid air! Lol Couple that with my recent obsessing about getting another BP or two, goals of breeding someday and getting my snake room together etc etc.....pretty much they've been on my waking mind nonstop lately, so why sould my unconscious be any different?:D

I had a dream that i had a 1970 dodge charger and an all white boa oohhh that was a good dream! :bow::bow::bow:

I've had nightmares about mites.

I see them in my dreams sometimes but they are just an image. I guess it's because I think about them all of the time.

I just had some interesting snake dreams last night. I say dreams, but it was more like soothing still images, in between anxiety ridden dreams. Like, I'd have a bizarre dream about something in waking life, then I'd flash to a nice image of my new corn snake, then another disturbing anxious worry dream, then a soothing image/feeling of holding my old Ball, and letting her slide through my hands. It happened repeatedly throughout the night, spliced with bouts of insomnia. It was weird, but I remember the snake imagery best.

I dream about reptiles ALL THE TIME ! Justlast night ihad the weirdest one !
I dreamt that i was in this shop and there were display cases full of green tree pythons. So the dream started off by me handling baby GTP's and they were all biting my hands, but i had welder gloves on so it didn't hurt. Then i saw an adult one in a cage with a teeny monkey. So i took the monkey and said to the snake, if you want your meal back, you have to let me handle you for a minute and a half without biting me. Next thing i know i was handling an adult green tree python and was taking pictures of myself with my phone. After the minute and a half, i put it back in its cage with the monkey and i woke up.
I think this dream is issued from my fascination with GTP's :)

I've had anxiety dreams, in which I discover an entire room full of herps in my home that I had somehow forgotten I had (and thus neglected), and I have to try to save them and nurse them back to health. I've also had dreams where I'm catching dozens of different species of reptiles. I've had a few where venomous snakes were brought in, in cages, and somehow got loose, and I have to try to recapture them.
The above are all recurring over the years, lol.

I haven't had reptile dreams in awhile, but Wingedwolfpsion reminded me of this dream I had before where in my rat cage(I had no rats in there, though, O.o) were three animals I had forgotten. 2 puppies and a blue and gold macaw. O.o The puppies were all happy and whatever like puppies almost always are, but the macaw was just sitting in the back looking sad and neglected.
IDK why I have dreams where I forget my pets because not once have I forgotten any of my pets!
My least favourite types of dreams though are where I get a new pet and then I wake up and realise I don't have it. I also hate the dreams where something bad related to my pets happen, but luckily I wake up and feel happy because I was just dreaming.



I haven't had reptile related dreams recently though. My dreams keep involving the two characters in my avatar or other characters from that show.(Because that's all I've been drawing, thinking about(besides reptiles), watching, or listening to the music from there. XD)

Before I bought snakes again this year, I had them all the time,and most of the time of me getting bitten. I use to tell my wife this all the time. Funny how they all seemed to stop when I started owning snakes again :)
