Baby Uno is causing some debate hehe

Soooooo this year was my first attempt at breeding some of my ball pythons

A few years back I cooked some rat snake eggs, and haven't attempted breeding since lol

anywho....this was an enchi to lesser pairing

3 slugs...1 boob egg

Here is day 55....I cut a window in to see the baby and make sure all was good...this pic is mainly to show off the bad boobness lol

There is a tiny bit of debate on what Uno actually is

lot of people swear he is an enchi lesser....Since he is a soft lavender color and his blushing is just awesome.

A few people say he is just an awesome lesser, his back stripe and pattern throw me off....he sure does look alot like mom

Mom around 300ish grams...Uno sure as heck isnt this dark.....mom went through a big color change as she grew up lol...faded out and lost some yellowing

I think he's probaly a enchi lesser. Better to see when he's shed.

Enchi/Lesser imo. And really? 1/2 of a good egg out of 4 and you hit the 1/4 morph :P

The dilemma:
-Doesn't look like he's got enchi in him.
-Looks prettier than "just" a lesser
-parents were a lesser and an enchi

I'm going to place my bet that he's a lesser, and due to egg-issues has developed a little differently.

i will take him if his ugliness off puts you.. i mean i will sacrifice the space here ;)

The only egg issues seem to be that he came out small

temps where stable the whole time...normally pattern issues coincide with temp fluctuations

The biggest part of the debate is that yes, his pattern is a bit off for a lesser enchi...

but

his colors are spot on....lesser enchis come out purple

lesser do not

The fact that he is spotless would help....if mom wasn't nearly spotless herself lol

No doubt in my mind that's an enchi lesser all day every day. Congrats that's one hell of a way to start breeding ball pythons.

yes she did...now keep in mind that pic of her with Dad is a bad pic lol, her colors are pretty washed out

but her dark areas lightened up alot....and her yellow faded down alot as well

so she looks alot different then when she was a baby hehe

but shes still a stunning lesser mama :P

I hatched 3x clutches of lessers last year and none of them looked close to that. I get its a morph with a variety, but my bets on enchi lesser also.

That's definitely an Enchi Lesser...congrats!

Awesome that he made it, but it's best to wait after a couple sheds to see what really starts to pop up.

I really don't understand the controversy...he looks just like every other Enchi Lesser I've seen...:confused:

that seems to be his only non enchi lesser trait...

Just because his pattern isn't perfect doesn't make him just a lesser. Could be low quality enchi pattern, high quality color.

My vote is for the combo.

This lessers has great color. She has the nice purple hue to her.

Uno is a beauty, congrats!

Clear-that really is a stunning lesser enchi....but not ALL enchi lessers come out like that

here is a pic from Ralphs site of two enchi lessers....one has the banded pattern, the other has less banding.....and quiet a bit of back pattern, both of them seem to be the EXACT same color as Uno

Also is that lesser pre shed or post? I'm really not seeing any purple...maybe some dark brown/black hues that may show up purplish in photos

Also even tho that lesser seems to be spotless I'm noticing some freckling in its alein heads....Uno's mom is nearly spotless as well, but also show this freckling in her alien heads

Uno's alien heads are pure silk lol...no freckles or blemishes in the coloring at all.

NOW

I'm not saying it isnt possible that Uno may turn out to be a very very stunning lesser

BUT

his pattern seems to be the only thing anyone can question on him....since his cleanness, color and blushing all seem to point to enchi lesser

Also....I just took a close look at his eyes and they seem to be green, now of course its a little hard to tell on such itty bitty eyeballs lol, but he also has this green hue on the scales above his eyes, which seems common among enchi lessers....lesser moms eyes are more yellow...enchi dads eyes are green....

*shrug* more for the debate I guess lol

I am no expert but looks enchi lesser to me. I do know that Uno is GORGEOUS and adorable and you should post more pics of him :)

These ones came out stupidly blurry but they help show how tiny he is in my hand hehe...the camera wanted to focus on my hand and not on Uno lol
