Best of / Worst of...
I am curious to here your personal experiences from the herp world - what are your best of's and worst of's?
For example:
My best feeder - corn snake (hypo, male)
My worst feeder - ball python (normal, female)
My most ill tempered - carpet python (coastal, male)
Anyone have any particular member of their collection that stands out to them?
-
Best feeder - Tie. Male amel corn snake, he has always been a bottomless pit, even as a hatchling. Female Irian Jaya carpet python. I tried explaining to her that gluttony is a sin. She didn't listen.
Worst feeder - Another tie. Male garden phase amazon tree boa. Male Candoia carinata-carinata.
Best attitude - Male amel corn snake.
Worst attitude - Another tie. Any amazon tree boa and a young female coastal carpet we had.
Most personality - Any spider ball we've had. Dunno what it is about spiders. They creep me out, but they are hands down the most outgoing and active of all our balls.
Least personality - Female Candoia carinata-carinata.
Most intelligent - Female Irian Jaya carpet python. She is sharp!
Least intelligent - Candoia carinata-carinata.
-
My best feeder - My boa, has never misssed a meal ever.
My worst feeder - My bumblebee. Although my albino ball isn't too far behind.
My most ill tempered - Fury, my albino Burm, she has her days.
Most docile- my normal ball, isn't head shy at all.

Re: Best of / Worst of...
This is an interesting topic. :)
Most temperamental: Carlisle the Brazilian rainbow boa
Best feeder: Pyrite the het pied bp
Worst feeder: Luna the het pied bp
Most nervous: Meringue the pastel bp
It's so neat how snakes have such different personalities. :P

Re: Best of / Worst of...
This is fun to hear! Keep 'em coming! :D
I decided to start this thread after someone outside the herp world asked me how snakes could 'possibly have different personalities.' I am amused to see that is not just my experience that says they do!

Best Personality: Tie between Briar (normal BP) and LLB (blood python).
Worst Personality: Delphy, albino female BP. Tags so far: one.

Re: Best of / Worst of...
Best feeder: Eddie the granite corn snake, who inhales mice like those Japanese hot dog eating champions.
Worst feeder: Nerissa (normal BP), who only ate maybe 10 meals in her first 18-20 months with me. She's a pig right now, though, since laying her recent clutch.
Best temperament: Tie between James the uber-mellow Stimson's Python, and Toby the sweet pastel BP.
Worst temperament: Betty the Miami-phase corn snake... she's a nippy & rattly little jerk.
Moodiest: Charlotte the Western Hognose, who goes from hissing & hooding to snuggling in a matter of seconds. Love her to pieces!
-
Oh, and I must give an award to the most OBESE snake in my collection... Dash the 1200g corn snake! (for those who aren't aware, female corns usually average around 500-600g) :O
Hey, I'm not fat - I'm just big-boned!

P.S. She was already like that when I adopted her, and my imposed diet has been of no use.

Best feeder: A tie between my SD retic Cloe and my BCC Boa (who is still nameless :(. Those 2 girls would eat until they pop if I let them.
Worst feeder: Leucistic BP Sinatra. He's horrible! Only wants mice or ASF from day 1 and only eats once in awhile. No matter what time of year.
Best personality/temperament: That goes to my first snake who I had to rehome years ago for personal reasons. Archon. An albino Burmese. He was a laid back puppy dog in a snakes body they entire time I had him.
Worst attitude: A big female Burmese I had rescued from a neglectful owner (friend of my sons dad). Kept her for just under a year to get her up to proper health/weight and she was 7-8 ft of pure attitude. Constantly trying to bite anything within reach. She was nuts.
Then there is the total space case: The male SD retic. No aggression. Just pure psychosis! No other way to describe him. Lol just wow.

Worst feeder-Scout, bearded dragon. He eats his superworms pretty enthusiastically, but he won't touch his salad.
Best feeder- Hm... My other beardie only sometimes eats her salads... So I'll say Kes the Crested Gecko. She's not mine, but she loves her CGD and crickets. :3
Best personality: Scout, he's such a sweetie. The looks he gives you are just so funny. XD
He sleeps in this certain spot on my bed at night and if I wake him up, or if he's awake before me, he'll give me looks either like: Why did you wake me up?...' or 'It's about time you woke up. Go put me under my lights!' He'll also go find a cold corner in the house and lie there and turn the color of stone until I come and pick him up. Oh and he's madly in love with our female bearded dragon.
Worst personality: Kes, crested gecko. She doesn't have much of a personality really.
Well, there you go. I can't say much about my ball python since I've not had her for very long

Re: Best of / Worst of...
Best feeder - Strong Sauce, my Red Tail Boa, has a healthy appetite for sure!
Worst feeder - Out of 4 snakes I don't really have one. Once in a while my two ball pythons will skip meals but not very often.
Best attitude - Lafawnda, my female BP. Very curious and a great temperament.
Worst attitude - Green Tree Python, twice she has struck at me and hit the glass as I walked past her cage!? But when I get her out she is fine.
Most personality - Lafawnda
Least personality - Male BP, he's kind of a lazy dude.
I should also mention that the names of my snakes have been given to them by my two little nieces. I really only let them hold the RTB and my female BP because they are the most calm. Since they don't really see the other BP and the GTP, they have yet be be named. :(
Lafawnda - From the movie Napoleon Dynamite
Strong Sauce - ???? (I have no clue.)

Ok so the Japanese hot dog inhaling quote almost made me go peeped in my pantalones.
