Dinker Hatchling, Something New? What Do You Think?

This little squirt just hatched from one of this years Dinker clutches. I'd like to get your opinions. Thanks for looking.

Looks like an Opal Diamond to me.....very nice!

Looks Mojave-ish...

Here's a few pics of mom when she was a yearling. She's four years old and no longer as colorful. She's more of a tan color now.

The dad could be any of about six different co-dom males but I suspect it is a Mystic. There was no Mojave involved in the breeding.

Mom is a good looking lady, and the lil squirt is amazing. do you have any updated pics? its eyes look like a metallic color, or maybe its my color deficiency. you should definitely breed her to the possible mystic daddy and try to make some more. thos are hot

that looks like a light "Crystal" ball.. .. and mom looks like a "special".. Neither of which I have mind you.. but going from memory.. (Where is Heather at? She has them (crystals and specials) and would know.) lol

I promise I don't know what mom is. We acquired her from Josh Norwood (who at the time owned and operated J & J Reptiles) in a group of select captive hatched imports. :)

ok that little one is screaming super genes to me, specifically BEL...i've seen clutches posted...with different daddies & different morphs in that clutch.
so...
on that note there had to a mojo playing in that pool somewhere down the line, wiat...dont lessers & butters make those BEL's too?
that is either a very funky BEL or something's happened to the BEL gene in that mix to create that yellow striping...very nice...

She may be a Russo het but if that's the case she looks different from any Russo het I've seen including the one in our collection.

Also, there is one hatchling in the clutch that looks like mom and we've compared it to the Russo het hatchling pics Vin has on his website and there's a good bit of difference.

It's not an Ivory as there was no YB involved in the breeding.

Do you have a black light? If you do you should take some pictures of her under it to better see that pattern she lightly has! I'm very interested in seeing what she'd look like under black light. She gorgeous! Has the super mojave head with yellow! Just crazy, a little blue tint around the eyes too.

Congrats LK! Looks like an improved Ivory.

Awesome Louis. Mom has a Desert look to her. I know there has been a white snake produced from from a Tiger x Mojave. Maybe your dinker is another line of Desert and the Mystic has the same affect. Just a thought.

Congrats Louis, glad she proved out for you. The snake looks killer. Keep us updated on how she colors up.

Man, that's why people keep and breed dinkers. That's awesome and I'm estactic for you.

My first guess would be that mom is some form of fire. But since she doesn't look like a classic fire, she'd be a new line, unless it proves to act differently when bred into the same combos.

Good luck breeding that dinking line out. I can't wait to see next season's hatchlings and what else you find out about it.

Wow my buddy is a white snake hater but even he is in love with it. But the yellow stripe in the eye is crazy nice. But now you have to breed him back to her and see if another mom or son looking one pops out right... then you get to name it or is that still to soon to name it your own morph?

Thanks! Yeah, those yellow stripes are definitely cool!

At some point we will definitely breed him back to his mom and see if we can produce a Super. This little guy has a sister from the clutch that looks like mom so her phenotype is inheritable.

We're trying to figure out what we want to pair mom up with for the coming breeding season. I will try to find out what combos have been produced with the Russo hets (other than white snakes) and make the same pairings and see if the result is the same or different.

As for naming the trait I guess that will have to wait until we know if we're dealing with something new or not. It would be nice to have something to call him and his sister other than "white snake with yellow stripe" and "the one who looks like mom". :)
