Had you asked me 10 years ago I would have said wolf or tiger, but I now realize just how dangerous those can be to own so that dream has faded. :P

Edit: I changed my mind, I would love to own an Orac.

Wow, that's a tough one.

There are so many animals I wanted as a kid, but after having experiences with them over the years I've changed my mind time and time again. Not like I could house or care for an Amur Tiger or Fiordland Penguin. ;)

Love birds of prey, maybe a Ferruginous Hawk or Peregrine Falcon.

Chickens.

I hate living in town with all of the restrictions. If I could have a coop with 3 or 4 hens, I would love it. Fresh eggs taste so much better than the ones that come in little styrofoam caskets.

2nd choice: A plain common old American crow. The most entertaining pet I ever had was a crow raised from the pinfeather stage, a victim of logging.

Theres to many to choose from. The one animal that i always wanted to have as a kid was an american alligator but then i got 2. Hahha now i dont know. Right now i really want a Leuistic Black eyed ball python. Or a Timberwolf.

They really are stunning snakes!

I would love to have a common fox. They can have great temperaments are are sooooo soft.

An elephant, penguin, or a sea turtle.

*Coughs and pulls out list* White phase Gyrfalcon, more ball pythons than I have space to list, SD Retics, a Boa or two, some Mustangs, a Doberman, an English Mastiff, a few Maine Coons, a dolphin...

Probably more, but that's what I can think of off the top of my head.

I had always wanted Miniature Donkeys (so adorable) but then I bought about 12 of them. ;) (Now down to three though.)
Now, if I could have anything else, I'd say:

-Eastern Indigo (my absolute dream snake) :please:
-Brazilian Rainbow Boa (also buying this year)
-Grand Cayman Iguana (aka Blue Iguana)

Well there are two categories for me. The "in theory" and "could happen some day" :) In theory will never happen because either the price of the animal, the care it requires, or 100 other things I can't do/have. :)

Without a doubt or a second thought if I could have any one animal it would be a nice stocky block headed male pit bull from a good breeder!!!!!!! Even if money was no object there is not another animal in the world I would choose before it!!!!!

I would own a wolf or a horse. I love both animals, but I would mainly choose the horse over the wolf because I have loved horses since I was a little girl.

If I had to pick one and only one, that'd be tough, but I'd probably go with something that isn't obscure.

If I got to pick one off of my list of "I wish I could have, but never can for various reasons", and we're excluding mythological creatures and extinct animals (otherwise of course some dinosaur would top the list)..

it would have to be a saltwater crocodile.

Although having a kangaroo farm would come in close second, but our future alpaca farm will have to do.
