    who else does?
When your in a relationship that is serious for almost 3 years and it was the person for all your firsts, like dances, dates, movies ok I wont make you listen to that and you get cheated on....who else goes to their snakes for comfort?? Who else has their snakes as someone or something to calm you and just keep you company?

I think a lot of people go to their pets for comfort. Because your pets won't judge you, they'll just be there for you. I'm sorry if you are going through a hard time- but I'm glad you can gain comfort from your snakes. I know I've gone to my dog when I was upset. And I can see how holding a snake can be relaxing.

This is actually how I got into ball pythons. My girlfriend of 3 years was really into snakes. She always had the dream of breeding ball pythons. After I caught her cheating on me I took all my balls that I bought for her and have been collecting since. Lol funny how life turns out huh.

Its always hard and everyone has a different outlet.
My wife and I have been together for over 20 years and we just turned 35.:O
When we argue and I need comfort.......... I pull out "Purple Horney"
2000 Suzuki SV650, with 97 horse and a dry weight of around 500 pound.
I know its not the same but in a guy world it is.
She screams like hell, runs like a striped ape, and is a blast to ride....................
Almost everything you want in a woman:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Point is, it hurt and it prolly will for a while. You are young and there will be many heart-breaks. I know you dont want to hear that but when you find the right one you will know. All you can do till then is learn when to listen to your heart.;)

I miss my Marley Baby, she was my rock:tears::tears:

i find that my relationships with whatever creatures i can surround myself with are all far less complicated then my human ones.
animals, as stated, dont judge, they live in the moment &...ok that's all i got. i lost what else i was gonna say.
i gravitate to my creatures all the time though. they're kinda my escape.

they dont lie. thats also a plus. They either like you that moment or want nothing to do with you. very straight forward no smoke and mirrors.

I go to all my animals for comfort. They are the only thing that keeps me sane. (make me sound like a huge baby) but when i miss my family, i go to my animals. Mostly my little Papillon girl who reminds me of my mother.

I wish I had even one of my pets when my 5 year relationship ended. Like you he was my first in a lot of ways. I was a mess afterwards, but things get better with time and you'll realize you are better off without him. Now that I have my pets, I tend to turn to my dog. I like to hug things when I'm upset and a big loveable lab is the perfect thing to hold. My snakes are for when I want to relax, there is something majorly calming about holding a snake.

When I am stressed or angry - I tend to retreat to my snakeroom. Its kinda of a private place to de-stress while tending to my snakes.

I also have two dogs who are just wonderful company also.

Good luck to you while your heart mends - and do not think for one minute that you wont get over this - we've all been there - it gets better with time.

I haven't been in that situation thank God. But when I'm upset I usually go and play with my kitten or remenice about my 3 year old labxcolliexdalmation mix named Tyson. He sadly passed away this January do to a kidney stone in his urethra and the surgery was going to cost a couple thousand and we didnt have it. :( God do I miss you tyboy. :'(

So sorry to hear of your situation. :(

When I'm upset, I run to the horses or my dog. They are the greatest comforts in the world. They'll let me rant and rant and rant and still won't judge... Although they might wander off. ;D But I know that they won't hate me later for it. :)

Luckily I haven't needed them for anyone in my life betraying me. My girl and I have been together for nearly 6 years, and will likely be together for the next 60. I'm proud to say that I love her family almost as much as I love her, and when we both need a pick-me-up, it's off to the pets.

Animals are wonderful 'therapists'. There's no psychologist in the world like a dog so happy to see you that their tail is wagging hard enough to shake their whole body.

Cats can get in on it too. As a teenager in high school (high school was NOT fun for me, let's leave it at that) I had a little tuxedo male named Lucky. Small and fluffy and a little HELLCAT. There is a reason one of his nicknames was 'Spawn of Satan'.

However, if I was upset he could do a complete 180 and cuddle up with me, purring his little heart out. Of course, it had to be at night with no one else around. He had a rep to keep, after all.

His best buddy, Loudmouth, was better at open displays of affection. LM was a HUGE, battlescarred, retired alleycat who adopted us. Most affectionate cat EVER. When he wasn't out prowling the backyard and sending other toms scampering off, he wanted to be in our laps and snuggled up next to us. He wasn't the prettiest cat ever (his face and front legs were COVERED in scars where the fur wouldn't grow back), but he was very loving and gentle.

i am no relationship expert but i do know quite alot from a few friends past mistakes.

me thinks that if she didn't like what was going on in the relationship she should have told you or gotten out before a heartbrake happened cheating is distastefull. pick them right if you or anyone's future lady/guy cant be faithful and trust eachother they have no reason being together, i'd cut my tongue off before i think about cheating.

    on to the original post

from time to time i talk to my lady ask her how her day went and yada yada yada, idk about some but imo they lighten the mood a bit, but they do relax your mind. go and drift off into your own fantasy land. ohh and um im here to talk if you need help -.- know it didnt make sense just my two cents
