Man Admits To Stealing Gecko from SD Super Show..

Then professes his plan to steal more from the LA Super Show on a public YouTube video.
Needless to say, there are many people angered by this. It will never cease to amaze me how blatantly stupid some people can be.

Is the gecko still in the container it was in when he stole it?

If so...someone will notice that label sooner or later. I don't see this ending well for him with how he is going public with all of this...deservedly so.

I personally didn't see any breeders at the SD Super Show using those style containers, but I may have missed them. It certainly will not end well for him. Another member of the reptile community came out saying they alerted their close friend who works for the SDPD to this video. I'm sure it's not too difficult to find someone this careless.

I hope he gets caught in the act and someone puts the boots to him.

And yeah, I already know that I'm a horrible person for feeling that way.

I'm pretty sure it's possible to trace the video back to the computer it was posted from. If it is worth it to the SDPD to do is a different story...

Wow the nerve of that idiot - he talks like it is perfectly fine for him to "steal" his upcoming pets - that is totally amazing. No guilt or remorse whatsoever!!! What is this world coming to??

Yea its possible, and fairly easy if you know what you are doing. But looking at the comments, it looks like there are a few people who have already done it....stupid kid posts something like that from his home (probably his parents house) and has no clue he can be traced...I hope someone gets him! Static IP FTW!

I had a feeling it was possible, I just didn't know how hard it was to do. The web is still a bit of a black box to me. :(

I hope the police get him and no one tries to take justice into their own hands. It would be nice to have his picture posted all over the web as a thief though so people know who to watch out for at shows.

It won't seem so funny to him if the cops actually show up at his front door though.

alot of people saying the cops will come up to his door and i SO want that to happen but unfortanatly they wont maybe if it was a prized dog or cat but for a leo they dont even want to fill out that paperwork its a why waste valuble resorces kinda thing it sucks for us in this hobby but really if someone seals one of our Prized animals we are sol hope the parents string him up if they dont know and find out and if they do well darwin or karma will take care of them:please:

The only reason that makes me doubt he was "trolling" was because he was completely serious about the first gecko. He did in fact purchase that one from a lady off of Craigslist because I saw the exact ad for that animal before it was deleted. Also, he deleted his entire YouTube account. The video had been up for five days but was only "discovered" yesterday morning. A troll likely would have wanted more than one day of attention and 60 or so hateful comments. ;)
