Are burms less stressful than Balls?

Are burms less stressed than balls? I have to say it feels like it :-) Right now my new burm is here with me in my office, laying still right beside my keyboard not attempting to go hide or escape somewhere :-) He has been here since after lunch, more than an hour already.

As far as I know, yes they are. Especially as they get larger.

Just an update, he was there in that position for 3 hours :-)

Just don't forget.. everyone talks about how active retics are, and may look at a motionless burm and think 'gee, that snake is lazy'.

They aren't lazy. They aren't dumb. They're plotting and biding their time :P

I was so happy to see him feed tonight, thought he was stressed and lethargic that's why he didn't move that much, apparently, he took the fuzzy mice like a good hatchling snake :)

Give him about 3 weaned rats. Every 5 days...

I will, I just had two extra fuzzy mice that I wanted to get rid of then all of my snakes will now stick with Rats :) around what size rat do you think I should give him at this size?

The worst thing you can do with a burm is get them hooked on mice. I HATE buying baby burms that have been started on mice. Burms are more then capable of being started on rats from the get go. It makes it so much easier as they start to grow

I do know of some burms here that have been grown to full size and have bred well that are still on mice but from here on fourth I will give them rats.

My burm is definitely the opposite of yours! haha at least when someone other than me tries to get him out. ;] There's a reason we named him Bad Dog..

Really though, I love my balls and all.. but my burm is my special pet and I adore him. They're such funny snakes with their snorting and huffing, they're full of enough spitfire to keep me on my toes, but calm down nice and sweet just like yours does once they recognize what's going on. :]

What were they doing feeding like a thousand mice? my 9 ft granite takes a 5lb bunny every week

I stand corrected, for the time they were growing they were on mice since the owners bred mice only :) but when they grew bigger they shifted to chickens or pigeons already.
