I need help choosing a new snake

i have a kingsnake right now, i am going to sell it because it is to agressive and im just not really into kingsnakes. I need suggestions of snakes i can buy, here is my requirements...
My budget is 50-300 us dollars and the snake must be 2-4 feet or smaller.
I was looking into hognoses or keynan sand boas. Any other suggestions?

Any African House Snake will do...
There are few species to chose they are very calm and really cool looking...
And Cape House Snake offer few morphs to chose like albino patternless striped anerystic and so...:gj:

Hognose's are pretty cool, a few cool morphs are available too.

I love our W. hognose! He is a sweetheart, and he is just the cutest thing.
They're really easy to care for too, and are good eaters, in my experience.

Some of them can be huge jerks, but you just need to shop around and get the right one! The ones that are jerks, will just strike at you with it's mouth closed, so they will headbutt you, and it is very cute.

I recommend a hognose!

thanks, do you know whats a really cool morph that i could get? and can hognoses be handled every so often?

A cool hog morph are anacondas. But way over the $300 budget...albinos are pretty cool. Your could try and find a tricolor hoggy. They are neat. Also some snakes that are really underestimated on the cool snake factor are garters. I Have an albino checkered male and he's the coolest thing ever. Always going none stop.....look around there are some pretty sick variants of garters out there...and some gorgeous natural colored ones to (Puget sound, flames, red sided, etc.)

I second the hognose. I love my normal girl. Personally I like the normals and think they are beautiful. Regular albinos have come down in price also. They stay small and have great personalities. And those little faces are just adorable. :D

I handle my hognose pretty often. She will set in my hand or lap and hang out like my ball python, while with my kingsnake and milksnake you are always having to keep moving with them while handling.

Children's pythons and Spotted pythons are small and within budget. I personally love my KSB and I want a hognose some day. There are a lot of cool snakes out there that stay small.

Nah, definitely check out western hognose. I used to keep several hognose. They are awesome little guys! Just don't let them get ahold of ya, they can light ya up good. Like has been said, they are usually great eaters. I miss ours, but we had to sell them to help pay for our move.

Another vote for the Hognose! I absolutely LOVE my hoggie, Charlotte, and they are just such a neat little snake... full of personality, which can be good or bad depending on their mood. :D Mine is usually a cuddly sweetheart, but she does have her bouts of crankiness - nothing more than some hissing & hooding, though, as they rarely resort to biting. I handle mine almost daily, as she usually demands to be let out, but I'm sure they're all different. Definitely consider getting one!

Yup. Mine is a total HOG, true to her name! She is literally a garbage can, and will take anything I offer - so she often gets the python's leftovers, if my corns (also garbage cans) are already full enough. Btw, mine only gets f/t mice, since the one live meal I gave her was quite a debacle. It's actually fun to feed her f/t, as she gets all cobra-like about it... posturing, hooding, hissing, and finally nomming it with one BIG bite. Cool! ;)

P.S. One thing I quickly learned was to grasp the mouse (using tongs) by their neck, rather than the usual tail dangling... since they don't constrict, it's like watching a kid swing at a pinata when you dangle it. LOL

How can i sell my kingsnake? like how can i ship and stuff like that?

I'd like to know what the problem is with the King. Is it the aggressiveness? You need to work with them. Any snake can be aggressive if it's not handled properly.

I second this!!! the key to a tame snake buddy is to handle it.. and trust me no matter what snake you get you're probably gonna get bit at some point or another lol so suck it up and expect it.. but i would suggest maybe a dwarf boa of some ort.. most males stay 4 ft or under and the females usually about 5 ft or so... plus there are some cool morphs too and they are great convo starters...

ive handled it every day just doesnt seem to stop biting and musking and my family wants me to get rid of it as its causing harm to the kids, will check out dwarf boas
