Yes! It'll be our 3rd year. Neal managed it last year. I'll wait to see if he's willing to do it this year. If not, I'd be glad to take over. In the meanwhile, everyone respond here so I can see if we can get enough people to form the league.

Damn i dont know if i still remember my ESPN account password lol.. I dont played for like 3 years now.. you do On line draft ??

Our football forum doesn't currently have an owner. If you find someone with a platinum level membership that would like to own the football forum, I'd be happy to open it up again for you guys. :)

If you guys start something up I will join in if there is room. I will play the entire season even if my team stinks, that is one of my pet peeves as well.

It looks like we got about 8 so far. ESPN is free if we keep it simple (which I'm all for :p ) Is someone willing to manage, Markie? If not I'll get it rocking. It would be sweet to have 10 people but like stated earlier we need people that will actually play. If we have 8 that will be there all season we can fire it up and get rolling.

Simple Man, fire it up! I like how you think... keep it simple, and get managers that will play through the entire season. It's annoying when people out of the playoffs quit near the end of the season, when very important battles for seeding are occurring. Let us know when you get it rolling and we'll pm you our emails!

I got the league started! Please end me your emails! I made it 12 to start but we can drop people before the draft and change the number. Only send your info if you want to play the entire time. Unmanaged teams really aren't any fun :)

Neal is only working with scorpions now as far as I know so I do not know how often if at all he comes to this site any more.


Also, if it is ok with Judy and you guys wanted we can also change the name of my sub forum around so it includes all sports and you guys can do your thing in there if you wanted :salute:

No problem!! Let me know if you guys are interested because I would have to run it by Judy and change around the the name and such to my subforum. I will just make it to include all sports so everything sports related can go in there. There is not enough traffic/use of my subforum anyways limiting it to just mma,boxing exercise and weight lifting related type of stuff so making it open to all sports would be fine with me. Unless someone with a platinum membership would like to just reopen the football subforum? That would be fine too :gj:

Either way works for me. It's your forum to set up however you like. Just let me know what wording you'd like changed. It's an easy fix. :)

Yes I will manage it again this year. Sorry been busy with vacation and buying a house so I haven't kept up as much as I should and with that whole lockout thing I stopped paying attention really. So please post with who's all in so I can keep track of it.

My sub forum has been switched over to include ALL sports now so the fantsay football league along with anything sports realted can be posted in there now :gj:

I'm a Seahawks fan. My parents had season tickets since I was an infant so I grew up on their laps at the games. I'm not a fair weather fan either :D Our family doesn't have season tickets anymore but I still watch every game. Have been and will always be a Hawks fan.

It's autodraft. Pick the players you want and it will try to get them. You can tell it what gets priority too, QB, RB, etc.

Why not set the draft for a feasible time that day....noon, afternoon...that most or some people can make. Not everyone will make it...it never works out. But I have always viewed the autodraft as a last resort if you can't make the online draft.

Half the fun is drafting your team....

I'm not trying to be a nazi or anything but it was difficult to just get 12 people to confirm they were even going to accept the invitation and be in the league. This is just for fun among some fellow hobbyists. I realize some people get really into FF and play very seriously but I didn't think that was the sole purpose of this league. Some people are going to take it more seriously than others but my fear is that if we do a real draft and people stacking up their teams, it is going to turn into a league where people don't play. Add that to the fact we're all scattered around the US and I think this would only benefit a few people.

Having said that, I am going to close with the following compromise.

If you can get the majority of the league owners to post (here or on ESPN) that they want to switch a live draft, I will promptly do so. :)

I don't really think one can stack their team if they are present during the draft versus one who is not present. I have done many FF leagues and understand how the autodraft works. You have to really screw up your prerankings to not have any playmakers. Heck....some of my best teams were autodrafted for me.

I guess I just don't understand why you can't change the draft to say....3pm EST. Yes, we are scattered across the states....so that means some people out west have to draft at....11am. That isn't bad.

I know for fact that you spent more time writing that reply than it takes to change the draft time in an ESPN league.

I think it would be appropriate to ask if anyone would OPPOSES the changing of the draft time from 5am....or 1am on the west coast.

And yes...it can be cumbersome getting a league together. People will probably drop midway... But what does that have to do with changing the draft time...? And why punish those of us who DO take it seriously?

This is the 3rd year for this league...and this is the first time we have essentially not had a live draft.

If I can not make the live draft will the computer pick people for me? As long as it will I have no problem with this but I work late nights and I don't want to not get a team.

Yup...you will have a team regardless...

Just prerank your players. There is an option bottom by the draft countdown to prerank them.
