Congrats! You'll love having her! I got my first boa in May and I am sooo happy with her. They are totally different from BPs. They are more personable and more 'in your face'. I love how my baby seeks out my face whenever I take her out - she's very inquisitive and social. Enjoy! She's very cute! :gj:

    Haha mine as well!

They're very clingy I feel in comparison to balls. And like she said very inquisitive. Just more of a personality I feel. Ever since I got my Boa, I haven't been able to put her down. I get sad when I feed her because I can't handle her whenever I want lol

    Good luck with yours!

They are a BLAST and a joy to keep!

My boa, Powder is the sweetest little creature on earth. She is so calm, "friendly" if you will.. that people who hate snakes (im talking Ophidiophobia) have held her! it is such a joy to have an animal that I can use as to educate people.

I trust her 100%, I just can't articulate how much you are going to love owning a boa. Most are the friendliest snakes I've seen!

Enjoy her! and keep the pictures flowing :D

Beautiful boa. I love watching boa's grow. I have quite a few boa's, around 16 I think.... might have to go to my snake room and count..lol They are just amazing. Everyone is talking about boa's being inquisitive and that is for sure. Even full grown adults are inquisitive which sometime can make for some challenging moments. My 13 pound Suriname is determined to get to my ceiling fan. She is such a trip! Every time she comes out of her enclosure though, straight up she goes because for some reason that fan just calls her name. lol

I love boa's though. If you need any help ever, shoot me a message.

I only have one for now until I get my pair soon ;) but I agree 100%. I hold my boa A LOT more than all of my bp's combined. Plus my boa is not scared of rats.

Boas are NOT like ball pythons. We held our baby boa from day 1 with no adverse reactions. Boas actually seem to enjoy handling and they do not stress the same way a BP would. So long as you are calm and gentle and put her away if she does seem anxious, handle away! Start with maybe 10-15min the first night, but she should be just fine after that. (And of course wait your typical 48hrs after feeding). But seriously, they like it!
