Ya, there is no marker! If you are buying one. make sure you get it from a very well known and reputable breeder. Make sure you get paperwork and make sure you trust the person you are buying from because there is no way to tell that it is a normal or a Het! Good luck!

Congratulations. I have a pastel that has lines and markings that I've never seen on any other pastel or normal. That doesn't make it a "marker" for anything though...

The different markings are due to the extreme variability of ball pythons, they are not het albino markings. If het albinos had markings, they would have been noticed long before now and albino wouldn't be considered recessive.

I was told long ago by several breeders that albino hets tend to show lots of white around the aliens.
Then i got a 100% het albino from Rich Macias and well....
Maybe it's not a guaranteed marker but neither are pied tracks right?

I'll be hatching out some black pastel or lesser het albinos shortly and it will be neat to see first hand what the normal hets look like and if/how the albino gene effects those morphs.

You know, I was told the same thing about the white around the aliens and both of my het albino's have very distinctive white lining around them.

For what it is worth I have two het albinos that look virtually identical to the snake above. They are not yet proven.
