How old where you when you got your first BP?

I got my first BP while I was 14 (which I still am). How old were you guys?

I was 12 when I got my first bp sadly she die about 2.5years ago I'm 28 now so she live a good long life she was about 3 years old when I got her

i was in 6th grade when i got my first bp from a local reptile shop. From there on I was hooked on ball pythons. I was 11 years old at the time and now im 10 days away from being 25.

I got my guy when I wad 14 last November

I was either 7 or 8. Been obsessed with snakes since I was 2, after I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark with my grandfather. Fell in love with a big female Ball at a local pet shop that I loved going to. She was the first. I already had Garters, Ribbons, Corns, etc. at that point. Totally disregrded Balls all through my teens and half of my 20s, cause I was more focused on the bigger Pythons, Boas, Colubrids, and Copperheads. But then I started paying attention to the morph craze about 7 years ago and now I'm totally hooked. As far as I'm concerned, no other species can offer more endless possibilities to learn about genetics and keep that carrot dangling in front of you while you obsess over "What can I make next?" :)

I voted 15 - 16. But truthfully I can't remember back that far. :rofl::rofl:
I know I was a teenager when I got my first reptile. First a Green Iguana then a Ball Python followed by a Boa and a lot more reptiles after that. I drove my parents :rolleye2: with all my pets.

My first was when I was fifteen :D I had been bugging my parents for one for about four years prior to that too, so I think they just went crazy and let me get one. Little did they realize it would lead to another snake... and another... and another... and another soon to come :rolleyes: :P

I was in my thirties. It's been 20 some years so I can't remember exactly how old I was.

Bp?.. last year, at 37
First snake, 19 a Corn and a RTB.

Step one: move out of house with reptile-phobic mother.

Step two: marry tolerant spouse and move 2000 miles away from mother, just to be safe.

Step three: wait for husband to buy used BMW sports car without permission.

Step four: apply a light coating of emotional blackmail.

Ugh, I know how that feels. My mom is terrified of my BP and I only got it because we agreed to feed it only at my dads house. Lucky for me his dad used to have a Burm he was growing up so he was used to seeing it eat rabbits and stuff.

Yeah, and I managed to move away from my Mom, but my mother-in-law is a whole other kettle of fish. She's so terrified, my husband's convinced she'll never set foot in our house again if she even knows there were once, at any point, pet snakes on the property.

So every time she visits, I have to remove them. All of them. And all traces of their existence. Do you know how hard it is to make a collection of a dozen ball pythons vanish into thin air twice a year? GAH.
