bleeding after probing

    bleeding after probing
    today i was probing one of my ball pythons and the prob went pretty deep so i know its a male but is it possible to cut over the stop mark on a female and just go all the way to the tail? and when i pulled out a little blood came out. is this normal? help please

    nope never but i probed my other snakes just fine. will the bleeding spot in him heal?

    yea seriously probing is a bad thing to do solo first time. it takes such a light touch. I really hope you didnt do anything bad as a result. i have only probed once b4 and really try to pop them first because things like this dont happen, even if probing is more accurate i would take an incorrect sexed snake over a hurt one.

    Hi,

    If blood came out you punctured something - at which point you cannot say if it is male or female.

    Did you probe both sides and did blood come out on both sides if you did?

    yeah i probed it with vasaline
