What bedding do you prefer the most?
I'm just trying to experiment with different kinds of bedding. I have aspen its good but kinda tough to spot clean. So I just want to hear different opinions.

I use aspen and don't have any problems with it. I'm not sure if i would use it if I had several snakes, but with only 1 it's easy to manage and looks a bit better than newspaper or paper towels IMO.

I used to use aspen and ive switched to newspaper.
I have around 20 snakes so its easy and inexpensive to use.
The pro on aspen is its very absorbant and snakes can burrow it in if they like to. The con on aspen is that when i feed, sometimes im fighting to get aspen out of snakes mouths. I dont like risking them injesting aspen.
I like newspaper for the low cost, and ease to clean. They can hide under the newspaper if they like and theres no risk of impaction. It is not so good at holding humidity, if you have a problem with that anyways.

I used to use cypress mulch, it is great for humidity. Now I use unprinted newspaper, it is so much cheaper and my snake likes to hide under it.

I use the heavy brown contractors paper. It is similiar to a paper grocery bag. Works great, absorbant, looks better than white paper and is cheap! I buy rolls and cut it to size with a hacksaw.

i used to use cypress mulch til i found out there was cedar in it.
then switched to 1/2 mulch 1/2 newspaper temporarily.
now i use exo terra forest bark. only downside is it hides poo really well so i have to scout for it before sticking my hand in there. :P

I use Scotts Shop Towels (the think blue ones) for my boas. They are soft, strong, and supper absorbent. For my BP rack I use aspen. I'm happy with the way its working out.
