I use aspen bedding, and i find that it is easy to spot a pee spot even if there is not a urate there as drynaspen is light yellow and a pee stain Will be a light Brown colour. Its very easy to spot and Will stand out wHen you see it.

And A's some one has suggested you Will definately smell the pee spot! Enjoy and good luck pee spotting. :D

I'll take a look under his hides when I take him out to handle. You can normally spot it pretty easily. Aspen's white(ish), but you can tell the discrepancies.

It's easy to spot when it's still wet - the aspen gets darker brown in color instead of yellowish. But, that spot gets yellowish again when it dries, so it would be harder.

I usually go by the urates and take a section of the aspen around the urate with it. Then I change out the bedding every week - sometimes 2 weeks if the beach gets too irresistible and we decide to chuck our chores.
