    Is my BP still hungry?
About 30mins ago I fed my BP for the first time. I know earlier I said I wasn't supposed to feed it until tomorrow but the pet store said they put the wrong date on the notes. Anyways, I fed him a small mouse slightly bigger than his grith (I believe it is called) and he struck and ate it immediately. Now he is already crawling around again and flicking his tongue. Is this a sign he is still hungry? Should I feed him another one or a bigger one or what?

A lot of BPs will accept a second meal after you give them the first. It sounds like you fed him right, he's probably just still in feeding mode. Since your's is small you can feed him every 4-5 days and he shouldn't be too hungry. :)

He is about 4 months old and around a foot and a half. I haven't been able to measure him because I got him yesterday and can't handle him. Also, he is still crawling around his tank, and hasn't settled down yet.

Also he went into his hide for a little less than 10mins before slithering around some more.

Also the lump is gone, and before at the pet store they were feeding him 3 pinkies every 4 days.

I go by the rule of feeding around 15% of body weight or a rat that is close to the thickest part of your snake. My guys will readily accept a second meal after feeding and remain in their feeding state for some time.

When I got first ball python he was feeding on pinky rats from the store also, I jumped him up to hoppers for his first feeding (5 day feeding cycle) and weanlings shortly there after.

nah, he's just still in feeding mode, if he is looking around the viv for more food in the next few days then next time you feed him maybe give him two of that mouse. :)

At 4 months he should have no problem with an adult mice. I would go with a 5 day feeding schedule for now. If you can you might want to try a rat weanling. If you can get his weight and maybe a pic?

What I learned about my guy was that when he was hungry,he'd come out and explore a lot more at night,so when I started bumping up his size in food to basically a bit thicker than the fattest part of his body, well he is just about in his hide 90% of the time now
